Circuit City Resells Debt To MRC Receivables MCM Got judgment against me for paid debt Ripoff San Diego California
I had a credit card with Circuit City/FNANB, now Chase. I ran into financial trouble and entered a debt repayment program or debt consolidation program. The debt was settled with a collection agency that I cannot find, however, I have copies of the agreement with settlement amount and front of checks used.
The debt is now with another collection agency, MRC Receivables, who has hired lawyers to sue me. I sent the lawyers the proof of payment, but they continued legal action. The was a court date that I missed because I had no idea one was set and now there is a judgment against me.
All they want is money by any means necessary. I cannot afford representation to fight this. Legal aid says I make too much money for them to help me. I can barely pay rent and utilities. A wage garnishment will make me homeless.
