NOW TO THE EDITORIALLY REDACTED POSTING(S):

(((REDACTED))) of the PR company (((REDACTED))) took my money and did not provide any of the services she promised in writing.

I paid her upfront for 20 hours of her PR services, which she never fulfilled.  She agreed to provide a breakdown of her work hours in a monthly invoice to me, which she never did provide. She admits to this. She provided me with an campaign plan, which she NEVER executed. She also tried to up-sell me to pay for other services she provided. She took my money and ran.

I hired her to provide PR for my movie premiere. As the date got closer to the roll out of the movie, she did not return any of my phone calls or e-mails. She ruined my movie's media campaign and cost me money. I tried contacting her daily for two months. She never contacted me back. This was odd to me because we did not leave off on a bad note. This was when I suspected I have been scammed.

The only time I got a response from her was 4 months later, after I contacted her via a letter to work things out between us professionally. She replied back very rudely and told me to take her to court.

(((REDACTED)))is VERY unprofessional and I highly recommend to not do business with (((REDACTED))) I had a very bad experience with trusting Heather and her actions have negatively effected my business to this day. Do not use this Public Relations company.

(((REDACTED))) found GUILTY!

After over a year of trying to work things out and mediate with the very elusive and uncooperative (((REDACTED))) of (((REDACTED))), I had no choice but to go court with her ( as per her request) (((REDACTED))) never intended to be honorable and requested I take her to court.

After the judge reviewed my case, reviewed important documents, saw that i tried to mediate with (((REDACTED)))(and she refused), and saw the Better Business Bureau (BBB) rated gave her PR company an "F" rating,  the court sided with me.

The court found (((REDACTED))) Guilty and ruled that (((REDACTED))) refund me the FULL amount of money that she took from me.

After the court's decision, (((REDACTED))) once again refused to be honorable and refund my money. She is currently avoiding to pay me.

(((REDACTED)))are rated an "F" with the Better Business Bureau (BBB). Please click the link below to check their "F" rating from BBB. West Levy PR is NOT an accredited BBB company.

(((REDACTED)))

F is the worst rating a business can possibly get from the BBB.

Disgruntled Client Carmine Caracciola aka Vinny the Chin

#4REBUTTAL Owner of company

Thu, February 28, 2013

Mr. Carmine Caracciola came to me for a consultation via a referral from a mutual friend and a client of mine in August 2012 for PR Representation.  After an initial phone call, we agreed to do an in person consultation when he was in New York City to discuss ideas for development of his brand.

In PR, what Mr. Carmine Caracciola is not familiar with, (either because he had not worked with a publicist before, or someone that deals with branding) is that similar to retaining an attorney, you do not have representation from a Publicist until you sign a contract and pay a retainer agreement.  When that retainer payment is exhausted, it is then replenished.

For Mr. Carmine Caracciola to accuse me of taking his money is absurd.  First of all, he never countersigned the contract sent to him.  He did in fact pay a reduced retainer as he came from a mutual friend and I wanted to work something out for him for his budget.  Over the course of the next five weeks, with requests such as getting press coverage for him on an event at a nightclub in the Hamptons with less than 24 hours notice on Labor Day Weekend, I explained to him that I could not and will not move forward with representing him.

In order to effectively represent a client, there needs to be full communication, and time to prepare, media consultation, etc.  After more than four months, Mr. Carmine Caracciola sent me a demand letter on February 7, 2013 requesting a refund for the retainer payment, or he would take me to small claims court and charge me for Attorneys fees as well.  Mr. Carmine Caracciola should note that in small claims court, you represent yourself.  So the additional threat to tacking on Attorneys fees was nothing but yet another attack.  Just like this post on Rip Off Report.

My response to Mr. Caracciola via email (immediately) was as follows:

"Absolutely. I will see you in court. The 500.00 was a retainer I never once billed you for anything else per contract for the 3 months as the work relationship was simply not working out, for either of us. The request for press coverage at an event in Neptunes with less than 72 hours notice was one of the many reasons I could not move forward with you past the first five weeks.

By all means, take me to small claims court the 500.00 retainer was applied to the 5 weeks of what I did do for you and will be provided to court in my itemized spreadsheet of billable hours.

Please re read the contract, and if I'm not mistaken, my files don't even show you countersigned my signed copy of the contract to begin with. I will bring that along with copy of my phone records and emails and itemized hours logged for the five weeks for the 500.00.

Heather West"

What Mr. Caracciola does not seem to understand is that the invoice would have been sent to him for the second month of the three month contract for Public Relations services.  When in fact, I even extended my time, and represented him for five weeks, not just the one month.  And for him to literally bully me and threaten me in an email two weeks ago, and then consequently write a slanderous report on this site when I did not give into his demands just shows how unprofessional he is.  This is simply an example of Mr. Caracciola trying to "get something for nothing."

I truly with him the best in his future endeavors for his character and brand, however, his outrageous and outlandish behavior in this circumstance in reflective of the character he plays "Vinny the Chin" and not the client I originally met last summer and had agreed to represent.  And that is the saddest part of this entire circumstance.
