This is a letter that I had sent to Classic international and I have not gotten reimbursed on any of the damages or the storage fee. I continue to call and send e-mails but it looks as if they are not going to cover any damages or recover the storage fee that should not have applied . My e-mail is being deleted. I have received receipts that they are not reading the mail I send with questions on my claim. I have called a number of time and they do not return my calls. So this is a warning to anyone thinking about moving I would not suggest this moving company. I took photos of all the damage and also spent money faxing the damages only to endure more charges.

Claim & Damages move from Newmarket New Hampshire to Torrance California

First Item: This is to inform you (Nationwide) that I was appalled at the manner in which belongings were packed on the budget rental truck when it arrived. It looked as if these items were just thrown into the truck. Its no wonder the damage was so extensive. I did not expect Nationwide to be using another company inbetween the moves.

Second Item: I requested my belongings to be delivered to my apartment in Torrance California On May 2004. I spoke with Ricardo from Nationwide and asked him what he would need from me on my end in New Hampshire to ensure that my belongings were to be delivered by may 1, 2004 at my Torrance California residence. I was informed they would need to pick up in Newmarket New Hampshire, April 12,2004 or April 13, 2004 to ensure the delivery date of may 1, 2004.

My belongings were picked up by classic on April 13,2004. The guys that loaded the truck took extra special care in wrapping my furniture as well as loading it on the truck. I do not believe the damage came from them. They gave me a good feeling that my belongings were in good hands.

Third Item: I was charged an additional $644.00 supposedly for 10 days storage. I initially requested my belongings to be at my California apartment on May,1 2004 it arrived May 9, 2004 after 6 pm. 9 days late. I feel I should be reimbursed these charges after the promise date.

Note: On top of this I had the fear that my items had been stolen started from may 1st until I received my belonging on may 9, 2004. I received a call on May 8, 2004 informing me they would arrive with my belongings between 1:00-3:00, that day, no call No show!. I then had to call them back, they told me they would arrive between 5:00 & 6:00 again no call no show! There was no answer all day of may 9, 2004until late after noon they called me and told me they would arrive between 6:00 & 700pm. My belongings FINALLY arrived at 7:30pm May 9, 2004

Cost on Damages:

Cost of snuggler recliner & couch $1458.00 Purchased 3/20/03

Cost of End Tables sofa table & coffee table $579.45 purchased 3/20/03

Cost of treadmill 2549.00 Purchased 1/5/2000

Cost of king size Mattress & Box Spring Approximately $950.00

Cost of Lamp $45.00

Cost of shelves X 3 $90.00

Cost of Sand Sculpture $30.00

Cost of TV Stand $65.00 (TV Stand had to be replaced already $69.00 was the cost)

Cost of Dinning room set $900.00

In one of the boxes that were completely damage was my printer to my computer. The ink cartridges were completely out and ink was all over my printer the printer does not work any more. Note: The box had to have been tossed pretty good to have the cartridges come out of the printer. I had to purchase a new printer. @ The cost of $125.00, I had no plans to replace.

Drawers to my bed were bent on the rails; which one guy bent back into position and was able to get it in place.

There are gouges to my headboard of my bed.

The only pieces of furniture that did not get damaged are my 6 chairs to my dining room set. I hereby request someone from your company come out to view these damages.
