After a series of e-mails back and forth to determine what I needed, I submitted an order thinking that within 2 weeks I would have my Garage Door Parts. It has now been 2 months and nothing has happened. I subsequently found this site, and the company is mentioned.

There has been absolutely no response to my many emails, and the phone # on the Credit Card Bill doesn't answer, and a Google Search yielded a phone # that did answer - but by someone that didn't seeeeeeeem to know anything about New Garage Door Parts.

I am afraid that I have been ripped off, and this is my first shot at ripping back.

I recently orderd parts from this company and found some of the same things you have mentioned. I contacted the company by E-mail and recieved this reply which you may find helpful "The cause of this is that I had a stroke in May and another in September. While I was "out of commission" my shopping cart was still running on my website. I couldn't fulfill the orders while I was in the hospital nor did I have anyone to go to my office and handle my business. By the time I was back on my feet the damage had already been done. Oh and I forgot to mention, my apologies, your order has been processed and shipped. You will be receiving it with 3-5 days. Richard"

After literally dozens of attempts at contacting this company, I discovered that the phone # - which previously simply rang until my carrier inserted a message stating that "your party is not answering", I got a FAX tone. I sent a FAX - which included the sales confirmation, and an explanation of the problem and an apology if the # I had just FAXed to had been "hijacked" by this company and was not actually the FAX of New Garage Door Parts.com Several hours later, I got an e-mail thanking me for the FAX and telling me where to go for the refund - which I had already taken care of with my Credit Card company. I believe that this ends my story concerning New Garage Door Parts.com There was no explanation for what happened, and I have no idea if there are other folks that were in the same situation or if this company does indeed have hundreds of happy satisfied customers.... but I think not.

The good thing about all this is the fact that you placed this on your CC. There is a nice length of time to disbute charges. It is always best to do within 30 days, but sometimes, that can't be done. Call your CC comapny and explain the situation. They will send you forms to sign and mail back. When you do, attack all copies of any emails, letters, etc you have with this disbute, that will help move things along. Good luck!
