We are a medium size company that has used Nextel for years. I cannot tell you how often our:

1) Billings are incorrect

2) Adding a phone or editing informatin is done incorrectly

3) The 'don't care' attitude from some of their employees

4) The 'I need to sell you something, not service you' attitude.

5) and lastly, they have fraudulently debited a bank account. We too wanted to pursue to see WHO was responsible, but Nextel said for $1400.00 it was not worth it so they were going to credit out account and consider it a write-off????

Doesn't that sound bizarre.

If there was another company that offered Radio/Cell services, I would have changed long ago.

I am a Nextel customer since 1994. I am not their employee. My only conection is the service. They provide, I pay. I have 9 phones with them. I am a heavy user, over 3000 minutes a month, used most from 9 AM to 6 PM. My unit bill is floating at $200.00 per month. My office phone AND my home phone are forwarding to Nextel for the last 2 years. Incoming calls are all free. Last 2 months I send my daughther to China with a Nextel I2000 worldwide phone. I called her every day, dialing the local Nextel phone number. Connection was immediate and crystal clear. I never paid any international fees. My phone works perfect when I travel, many times my friends they travel with me asked for my phone to call cause they had other provider and no signal. Yes, I had my share of misshandeling, attitude and so on, but the service they provide is exceptional and no one can even came closer. The story about Sprint building a service to include cell and radio I heard 2 years ago. They only talk and they follow the leader. When I go to the restaurant I sometimes hear the familiar radio beep call, and I can see many customers in there checking their phones, they all have Nextel

Hey, I'm in the same boat with you on Nextel. Your problem sounds just like ours, and I just filed a rip-off report of my own! I was told by a couple of local Nextel employees that Sprint is about to launch their own phone/radio service and that it will be better than Nextel's. I heard this from two Nextel insiders! We've been overbilled, charged the wrong rate plan and had other mistakes happen, and as you know, calling Nextel is a nightmare! In case you need it, their CEO's name is Tim Donahue and their VP is Jim Moody. I sent both of them letters today after finally just giving up. Nextel is such a screwed up company, but unfortunately, they're the only ones who have the two part service right now. I'll be the first to change to Sprint when the time comes!
