Check around for Apartment complexes owned by Nexus Property management.
They tack on exorbitant fees when you move out, no matter how good your payment history was with them. They force these fees on people and could potentially ruin your options for renting again.
They tacked on high fees for carpet; even though the carpet was not new when I moved in. There was also a fee for not moving a table out - the maintenance guy said he would take it so I left it for him; instead they charged $100 for 'removal'.
They were also going to charge for blinds, even though they had a work order I asked for and they never replaced.
Ridiculous
