Complaint Review: Nolan's RV Center - Denver Colorado

This is very angry report, which I think most reports are. I'll be as non-bias as possible for those ready this. I had never rented an RV before, and thought it be a nice Memorial weekend get away in an RV. I called several places, and decided on Nolan's. I narrowed it down to, they were one of few RV rentals with insurance included, and had road side assistance. They provided unlimited use of the generator. The best part was, they had 200 miles a day free. Now most places were charging 29 cents per mile, it was a bit less expensive to go with Nolan, cause they came to about 25 cents a mile. Included in the rate were insurance, cleaning, and some other misc. items, and their rate was a bit higher. However they also had a lower deposit then most. Sounds great doesn't it.

Well I had the worst experience camping. What is a recreational vehical when you can't take it off road? So I guess I should park the d**n thing in a parking lot and walk to my camp site. Sounds logical (sarcasm). It all started when I drove to a lake to do some fishing. I followed every other RV's tracks to be safe. Well guess what it starts to rain and the dirt turns mud. It was not long untill the RV sunk and was stuck. Now I was not alone, however I was the only one not camping there either. I decided the best thing to do was call a toll truck, get out go back to the camp site I paid for. Not all too unreasnable right? I paid the guy 1/6 of the rental rate just to pull the RV out, and took a sigh of disgust. At the camp site I see that the toll truck had put some demages on the bumper, and scraped the undercarriage. I thought nothing of it, thinking well if worst comes to worst, I have insurance.

When I got back, oh man after checking the RV. Were they pissed. Not only did they treat me differently, they charged me over 700 in demages. They didn't want to help pay for the toll truck charges and stated it was my fault. Hmmmm, well I take full responsibility for mistake I made. So I'm not going argue I got stuck, but to say it's my fault that the toll truck guy is an idiot because he hooked the chain too high, and bented the bumber. I don't think so.

I told them I did not have a problem with paying, but wanted an explaination of why I was at fault. All I got was, it was my fault that I got the RV stuck. That is why I the toll truck demage the RV bumber. D*** what ever happened to customer service, and helping resolve an issue with out threatning legal action.

Renters be very awary, DO NOT rent from Nolan's. It's a rip off, you do not get the first class service that you pay for. All they care for is getting paid, and getting paid quick. Do not take my warning lightly. Oh, look for a rental place that will not automatically charge insurance, use your own insurance company.
