Nortec Strategies offered me what I thought was a business opportunity.

In signing up with this company I was charged $4000 on Feb/4/2014 and $199 from COMPUTER, PROGRAMMING, DATA PROCESSING, AND IS DESIGN SERVICES.  The salesmen (Erik Morris, Mike Smith) were very insistent that I would earn a lot of money.  They mentioned that there would be coaching services and I would get my own website.  I mention my situation to them but that didn’t seem to matter.  They had the solution.

According to the contract I was suppose to get a website and coaching.  The contract doesn’t say exactly what I was supposed to receive.  It does say that I purchased a Marketing level Three Package: U550 Social Bookmarks, / RRS/ 40,000 Visitors.  The rest of the promises were told to me in the selling speech.  They said that there would be success and led me to believe that it would be very soon.  Mike Smith said that I would be earning $2500 in the first month. They said that I’d make my wife happy showing her the first check for $2500 and that I would be able to pay off my credit card after a few short months.  This seemed like a guarantee for me.  I wanted to start a business, being laid off since 07, they made it sound like this was going to save me.  They said that the site was going to appear on several websites where I would get the most visitors.

During the sign up phone call I was surprised how fast it progressed.  I gave them my credit card number and quickly they started sending me documents to sign and email back.  They had to have them right then.  Every time I mentioned having doubts they quickly reassured me that I was doing the right thing.  The sign on went so fast.  As long as my visa card was approved that’s all they needed.   There was a time during the sign on call that I told them I had better cancel.  They wouldn’t hear of it. They said let it get going and in a week well see about cancelling.  And again they said that I’d make my wife happy showing her the first check for $2500.

During the sign on call the cancellation clause was not mentioned.  Later I learned that there really was no real cancellation clause.  I tried to cancel on feb/8/14.  It was within the time limit.  They told me that I would have to fax a cancellation letter and gave me what I thought was a valid fax no.  I faxed many letters to that number but about a month later I found that this fax number wasn’t valid.  They kept promising me that it would work until I was past the cancellation date.  At this time I still hadn’t seen my website.

The cancellation period lasted from Feb. 8 to August.  During this period I tried to call Mike Smith, Erik Morris and various other numbers only to leave many voice mails.  No one would return my calls.  I called about the cancellation and also ask them where’s my website.  There was so many times that I was on Ellie Hagens (customer service rep) voice mail and no return calls.  I got Erik Morris once and I was frantic about cancelling and he just said that I passed the time period.

It was late August when I finally got help and was able to see my website.  I got a hold of Erik Morris and said to him where’s my website and what’s going on??  He said to me “I’m supposed to help you after what you’ve done to the company”.  I said yes you are.  He said why and I said because you have $4000 of my money.  I then told him “look you hate me and I hate your company let’s level the playing field”.  I said you have nothing to lose and I have $4000 to lose.  He finally said OK I’ll have someone call you.  A day later Robert Eagle called me and said that he was my coach and showed me my website.

I’m asking for a full refund of $4199.  This company owes me a refund after all the problems that I have experienced.  I’ve only had my website since late August and have earned no money and have had only a few clicks each month
