I placed an order for maineral makeup with Alyeska Minerals on 12/3/05. I phoned on 12/17/05 to check on the status of my order. I was told that priority mail from Alaska was taking longer because of the the holidays but that my order had been shipped 12/8/05. I phoned again on 12/23/05 when I still had not received my merchandise. I was told that it would be shipped again EXPRESS mail and I would have it the next business day. I phoned when again I did not have the merchandise the next business and asked for the tracking number. I was told that it was sent priority mail instead and I should have it by the end of the week. That was the last time I actually spoke to someone. Now my calls and emails go unanswered.

I just recently found the report on this website. I should have come here before placing my order. Now I just want my money back as I have stated in numerous emails to the company.

It is my website thats why my info is there. My mineral makeup comany is gone thanks to this website and all of the slander. 7 years of hard work building a business is gone. Please if you are going to continue putting up my website name and my personal information and place of residence so it comes up all over the internet please give me your name and address as you seem so comfortable putting up my name and information on the internet. Do some research before slandering people - call Julia Costner at the Alaska attorney generals office. This is my final post on this website, I am done.

For the record, all anyone needs to do is contact Julia Costner from the Alaska attorney generals office - they know that Michelle and I (Kathy) are 2 different people. They know Michelle is now in California and I am in Southern Utah.

I was curious to see if the Oliphants' were still in business, and when I typed in "Northern Minerals", I got this blog. I am glad that this post exists, so that at least some of the potential victims of this scam are saved the headaches that we all went through. For the rest of us...well, I guess sometimes it is just healthy to vent our frustration to others. Like the rest of you, my dealings with the Oliphants' was the worst Ebay experience I have ever had. It took 2 months, several phone calls, and numerous emails to get a partially filled order. I was promised a refund, but never got it. And like most of the threads that I read, I was quite frustrated..angry is the better term...with the lies and deception from these people. No one likes being lied to...and when it continues to s****.. As identified in a previous post, I followed the Yahoo link to Michelle Oliphants' web page. This is not an endorsement to visit it, but by reading her posts, it became very evident to me that she is a very emotionally "challenged" young woman. That explains a lot. It would also appear that her husband is no longer in the picture, so whatever she does from here out, is all on her. Like everything else in her life, if she continues to indulge in questionable business practices, the authorities will catch up to her. I do not wish "Rock Bottom" on anyone, but sometimes, it is the only wake up call left. In closing, to those of you who did not receive your order...For the record: My wife was not very impressed with what product she did get. Unlike other mineral makeup that she has tried in the past, it did not have the staying power through out the day. It eventually wound up in the garbage...a fitting end to this whole mess. Lesson learned: you get what you pay for. Except in this case, where you only get half of what you pay for 2 months later.

My name is Kathy Longhurst and I never was a legal parnter with Alyeska or Michelle Oliphant. I was going to partner with Michelle - a long time customer of mine. I am a manufacturer of mineral makeup. I had a serious family issue come up last October as my husband and myself were trying to get custody of his great niece and nephew. I needed some help as I was going back and forth from Washington to Oregon to Arizona and Michelle offered to package and ship for me until things settled down. We then talked about becoming partners as I wouldn't be finished dealing with the custody issues for about a year. I never signed anything with Michelle and a few weeks after we discussed this I received a call from the Alaska Attorney Generals office and was told Michelle was being investigated on some business practices from her Northern Minerals company. I also noticed that things were not being shipped out on time among other things so I talked with her husband and told him that's why I hadn't signed the paperwork. I also talked with the Alaska attorney general and have been giving her information about everyone who has not received orders from Michelle. I did make a mistake by trying to fill orders Michelle left hanging. I was bombarded with people who were angry and took it out on me. I was given ALYESKA's website as partial payment for what Michelle owed me. I have just recently finished changing over the website and was unaware that under the customer service page it had Michelle's address to send payment to, this has been changed. November and December were the only 2 months Michelle was packaging and shipping for me. She bounced over $3000 in checks to me and I have lost thousands in business because of the false accusations made by people on the Rip Off Report. I am and have been working with the Alaska Attorney Generals office since November of 2005 - you may contact Julia Costner to verify this. I would ask that those of you who have falsly accused me of being Michelle in disguise or in being a legal partner of Alyeska please realize that your assumptions have hurt innocent people. My company has now been plastered all over the internet as a rip off company. I am a victim who has suffered much more than any of you who lost your $50 order and most of those I have shipped out - out of my pocket. We had the Northern Minerals website and Alyeska website forward to My Lets Face It website so those of you looking for your orders or Michelle would have someone to contact and find out what happened. I didn't realize that by doing this it would ruin my business. I have been threatened, yelled at, I have suffered much more than you can imagine because of all of this. As for Michelle I last had contact with her before Christmas. I have never heard from her since. Her husband was the one who called me to tell me what happened. Michelle has some very serious problems which are out of her control. I do not feel it would be appropriate to put them on the internet for everyone to read. The only thing you can do is contact Julia Costner with the Alaska Attorney General office. They are collecting information on everyone who has had money taken from michelle and not received their order. Kathy Longhurst Lets Face It

Okay Everyone! If you all read the letter by Kathy from Let's Face It, she admits that she was a part owner of Alyeska Minerals. She was answering my e-mails for quite some time...I wonder if it's Michelle pretending to be someone else or if it's real...trying to keep the scam going! I don't know...but she did offer to send me my long overdue makeup. Of course, I sent her my receipt and address....never received the product..(surprise!) nor has she replied to any more e-mails. When she first contacted me, she stated that she"heard" that Northern Minerals had been sold. In a later e-mail she stated that Patrick owed her money for makeup and "gave" her his website in exchange for money! Then I read here on rip-off report (by Kathy) that she was actually an owner and merged to become Alyeska. That makes her just as responsible IF she isn't actually Michelle Oliphathant trying to keep a scam going.....I am going to file a lawsuite now....check back for further information. It won't be in small claims either...I will be suing all three of them in civil/criminal court

"Let's face it" is actually owned by individuals who manufactured the makeup for Alyeska. Alyeska gave them their website as partial payment for money owed.

I stil have not heard anything about my refund. I went to the Alyeska website and was redirected to another website. It appears they have changed the name of their business again. The new company name is Let's face it and the website is http://letsfaceitmineralmakeup.com/index.html. I read the website and they claim to be based out of Utah but under payments it says to mail checks or money order to Anchorage, Alaska.

I think we should all join together and file a lawsuit against these thieves. They not only do business under one name, but they keep adding more names to the list. they have at least (3) aka's that I know of. I have contacted the BBB, Internet Fraud Protection Agency, Attorney General....next I think we need to file suit. Patrick and Michelle need to be stopped. It is amazing that there is NO help! Not even the government..and they KNOW it!

Now Alyeska Minerals is doing the same as Northern Minerals. I would say I can't believe but I do. I am a victim of Northern Minerals and they have done it to alot of us. As you can see this is the seventh or eighth report on these individuals. I have 47 different e-mails detailing their trail of lies. It is just a darned shame that they are still in business.
