I had a hair transplant procedure done by Dr. Richard S. Keller at North Shore Hair Transplant Specialists, LLC, which is located in Deerfield, IL. That was the worst decision that I ever made. I am so disappointed with the final results and all the pain and suffering that they have caused me.
When I went to North Shore Hair Specialists, LLC. for the first time to have a consultation, North Shore Hair Specialists LLC. representatives showed me pictures of prior patients with their past and present pictures. I told them to show me pictures of people that were in the same condition that I was before the surgery and there results a year later. By looking at those pictures, I was impressed. The pictures of those patients showed a full head of hair after the surgery. I asked the representatives how many strands they had added on those people and they told me that it was close to 2000. From looking at the density of my hair from the back, they assured me that it would produce more than 2000 strands. They also told me that any additional strand after the 2000 mark that they add will be free.
When, I met with Dr. Keller, he assured me that he could get more than 2000 strands added to my head from looking at the density from the back of my head. He also told me that there would be no problem covering the entire bald area of my head with hair. After hearing all of this, I came to the decision of having this procedure done.
Was that a huge mistake. After the surgery, they brought to my attention that they only put a little over 1700 strands on my head. They only covered one-third of my head. If you take a look at my head where the hair restoration was performed, you can still see all the bald area. The bald area stands out more now.

I went back after the surgery for follow up and always brought up the question: Where is the hair that you promised me. I even challenged Dr. Keller and his representative to use my before and after pictures on their advertisements and website, but received no positive response. Now they want me to come back for another Transplant.
Dr. Richard S. Keller, his staff, and North Shore Hair Specialists, LLC. are a disgrace to the hair restoration profession.
I would strongly discourage anyone from going to Dr. Keller. It will be the worst decision of your life.

I would like to reply to the above hoax. First, North Shore Hair Transplant Specialists does not use representatives/consultants and never has. Every potential patient is personally seen only by myself-Richard S. Keller M.D., A.B.H.R.S. The person who posted this hoax is a fabricated patient who is trying to steer potential patients away from North Shore Hair Transplant Specialists to benefit another hair restoration establishment. I have never done a hair restoration where 1700 grafts were utilized and have never made false promises or any promises to patients. I have never been asked by any patient to post their before/after photos and refused. I truly care about my patients and their outcome from hair restoration. My work is exemplarily and I have never had a complaint. I welcome who ever posted this false story to contact me at 847-945-6748 and provide me with your name.
