I ordered an AR 15 rifle from Norton Firearms 12/15/12 and as of 9/25/13 I still have not received the rifle or a requested refund. They have missed several delivery dates going back at least 8 months or more.
Jeff Norton has used every excuse I have ever heard about why he hasn't delived my rifle. There are no excuses left for him to use so he is back to everyone has been sick. Even a sick person can mail a refund check.
There are dozens of skilled and honest firearms builders in America. I would advise everyone to stay away from this outfit unless you want to regret the moment you walked in the door and be out $1,160.00 paid in full up front.
This has been the worst customer service experience I have ever had in my 53 years of life. It looks like small claims court will be the only way to resolve this. Stay away from Norton Firearms Inc. in Racine Wisconsin.

I have been trying to reach you over a month. I do not have your paperwork so I have no contact information for you. Please call me at the 847 number that I gave you back in December. Also I admit Things are screwed up but I got the ffl situation worked out. You left out a few details in all your post about me and hopefully when I make good on your other AR10 or refund you will disclose the information you left off. I trust you will do the right thing after we talk as well as I. I understand your frusration and if I could have done it differently I would have.
You stated in blog posts that NFA owes other people. Please.give them contact information, I would like to know who they are?

i am a customer of jeff norton he has still not delivered on my ar 10 and it has been almost 3 years now he has fled to florida only after riping off me as well as others i have lost over 1500 dollars he can not be tusted. He now is located in inglis FL and is opening another gun shop under the name backwater armory inc to all the gun buyers in florida stay away he will steal yor money to.
his name is jeff norton his new company backwater armory his new location inglis florida he is a theif and a liar he also goes by the name midnight patriot somthing tels me your not a patriot when you steal the money of people how have served this country he is a fraud stay away

I just want to state that Norton Firearms has delivered a superior rifle with many upgrades to compensate the customer and he is very happy. We acknowledge there were several delays in producing our custom rifles, some out of our control and some due to regulation issues with local Government that caused us to loose 3 months of production.
We have changed our policies to address our short comings and we no longer take deposits on firearms nor do we sell to retail customers. We manufacture a set number per month and sell them only to dealers. We no longer take custom orders from persons.
Customer service is now provided through the dealers and a private number only given to those that purchase our rifles. I want to thank all those persons who have stood by Norton Firearms durring our upstart and this difficult time.

Jeff Norton at Norton Firearms has delivered a nice new custom built AR 15 rifle. Due to the delay he included several upgrades at no charge. The build quality and finish are excellent. I am now a satisfied customer.
