Received a Notification from Norwegian Cruise Offer #1570 Advisor telephone #844-663-1377 (disconnected now) Sponsor "My Getaways" 530 Lawrence Expy, Sunnyvale, Ca. 94085 to sit thru a 90 minute presentation on March 16, 2015, no purchase required. Requested to mail in signed notification. Received email on Apr. 8, 2015 to complete form requesting travel dates for cruise and airfare. and to send $100 deposit with signed forms. On April 13, 2015 mailed forms and check #1026 for $100.00 refundable deposit payable to IIG Promotions. Check posted to my bank account on April 24, 2015. Supposed to receive notification by mail of cruise and airfare dates within 90 days. Did not. Called and they said they emailed my date of travel and it must have gone into my spam. I had to choose new dates of travel and now also mail in $100.00 deposit for airfare. Mailed new forms and deposit on August 3rd. Received letter and my check they voided for airfare on Friday Aug. 21st, said it had to be in the form of cashier check or money order. I called on Monday Aug. 24th and they said it had to be in by Aug. 23rd so the airfare is now null and void. The hoops and trouble for this is absurd. Now have to write a letter requesting my deposit back that was in the form of a check that they cashed. I feel this is a scam just to get people to pay at least $10,000 in the initial presentation for them to do your travel. The free cruise and airfare is a scam.
