Amazing Stories...July 2000-Mediaplay gives me "FREE" trial subscription if I use my Credit Card-I say sure(1st mistake),I start getting TV Guide,(never asked for it),waited for a cancellation notice,never got one,got billed twice(which I missed(I know,INCREDIBLY stupid on my part),used the guide to feed my fireplace,
got third bill fot 56.68,cancelled that,asked that prior bills be refunded,was told it would be,4 months ago,called their number(877-781-3425)(PS hit 0 to get rid of automated response,might have to hit it several times),told they couldnt do anything,told me to call First USA,i mentioned the lawsuit against Mediaplay,the phone went dead(this happened twice),
FirstUsa claims no responsibility,turns out NSS handles all of THEIR magazine offers,told me to call 800-321-6247,talke to Sandy,very nice lady,said she would forward my request,got a feeling it wont be because she never asked for any details(like how much,etc),supposed to get a call back from them-still out 113.36,SECOND time
FIRSTUSA has hit my Credit card with some scam,contacting Clark Howard next,then my lawyer-Lessons:NEVER give out your number for any offer like this,ALWAYS Check your statement,and FIGHT BACK!Good luck to my fellow Victims!
