I have viewed the many, many complaints about Oakley, and can confirm that most of them are right on. Its very bad company to hire on to. Kept you out too long, sometimes 3-5 + weeks. NOT paid for a lot of work you end up doing. Their dispatcher lie, this is all the time. Before audit in 2015, they had paper logs, and often wanted you to run illegal to meet customer needs. They do not care about their drivers, your just think you are dumb steering wheel holder. They put e-logs in after audit, because DOT was not happy with them. DOT had the company trucks on road at a 98% percent check at scales houses country wide, due to there poor history. TRUE the company has a 78% turn rate over in drivers, most driver catch on to there BS quick, and quit .Often you can get stuck in your truck for a day or longer, to get loaded, or off loaded, even when you go to get tank washed. Do not get paid for most of that wait time, if you file for they will make something up, and let you sit for days, and starve you out.Pay not that great, good runs are given to there buddies. Very few they have. If you try them , you will not like it, and remember what I wrote. Truck companies have gone from bad to worse. Midnight

Oakley transport bad news for drivers

Been driving 20 years. Oakley transport of Lake waled, fl. Always kept their drivers out for 3 to 4 and even more. We ran renagade. To make enough money to live on. If you turned down a load they would starve the driver out, by sitting him out. No miles, no money. Often took advantage of drivers. Their turn rate for drivers was a wiping 78 percent. Maybe everything changed when the DOT came down hard on them, could have closed. DOT had a 99 rating on Oakley, meaning every scale 99 percent of Oakley trucks should be checked for log violations , and equipment. This can all be check with the DOT. I knew about the company for about, and would never have guessed it would treat drivers the way they did. While I was there company even had a large turn over of terminal works. Go to work for them and fine out for your self.

I am a former OTR driver of Oakley from 2011-2013. I guess a lot has changed since then cause all that I'm reading is normal hear say from drivers who didn't get their way, turned down loads especially the Canada ones, the Northeast areas, short runs, pump offs and etc. I have nothing bad to say because they treated me good my time I worked for them and I only resigned cause I became a single parent and relocated out of Florida to take on a local job. Honestly as a new driver starting out with any company you are going to find all kinds of faults and run into drivers who knows more about the company then the people running it or works in the office, but they changed multiple companies for the same reasons. My 16 years of driving I've learned pick a company and stick with it good or bad and eventually you will reap all that you were expecting out of that company and some. Far as Oakely making you pay for your own passport/card and twic card that benefits you as a driver cause 1. They stay with you and by having such looks good for whomever you apply for. 2. They could be used for personal travel in out of the country. 3. Claim them on your taxes. Depending on the next company you apply for by already having a updated DOT card you may not to retake another exam to be hired just a drug test. Believe it or each company you apply for pretty much will have retake another full DOT exam plus a stress test and you pay for it you just don't know it, but now you know. Finally the fittings, they don't take the money all at once to make up the deposit it's like $50 a week till you reach the full amount of $500. Most drivers I know, saw or heard didn't get their deposit back because they either abandon the the equipment, didn't turn it all in, or didn't stay long enough to had reached the full amount cause I got back every dime of my money after 3 years with them, but then again like one driver said, "I was probably one of their buddies" and I didn't even know it. You won't know what any company or job will be like until you try them for yourself cause the negative reviews you read about any company coming from another person ask them How long were they employed with them? Why did they stay as long as they did if it was that bad? What did they contribute to their own frustration? How many loads did they turn down or didn't want to go in certain areas? Where are they now and if they experienced the same problem or more that they were with Oakely? Ask them how many companies have they been to in the past 3 years? Don't believe everything you read that's negative good luck.

I worked in milk hauling for over 10 yrs and I can tell you for a fax that 99% of all milk hauling companies are doing exactly what the drivers are saying they are doing they make you run outside your time all the time. there were time myself and many other drivers I know had to stay up for 24 to 36 hrs because the milk hauling companies would not I repeat would not let us sleep if we did we were subject to loss our jobs. the milk hauling companies treat their drivers like crap they try to keep you out forever. you make alot of money but you never get time to spend it or see your family or even go to the doctor if you are sick. I can't even tell you how many times I have drove down the road with my window open getting sick because I couldn't stop. I tell every new driver that ask me don't drive for milk hauling companies if you ever want to see your family again because they will never let you go home. most of them don't believe at first then they go try it an come back an say you were right I should have listened .so Oakley don't you dare say you care about your drivers if you did you wouldn't let your dispatcher treat them the way they are an they are doing everything I say they are you can take that to the bank. maybe you need to get your head out of the sand an really look at what's going on in your company
