Occupational Advancement Center advertises with no name. Only a toll free number 1-877-265-2181 advertisizing U.S. Postal Jobs. They tell you if you order their material you will get the U.S. Postal study guide and 12 practice tests.
They do not tell you what format the material comes in. They sent me computer software. I don't own a computer. I called them back and put a stop payment on the check.
They got extremely hostile saying the material was available in a book also. The sales rep.on the original phone call never mentioned anything about a book or that I had an option.
The day I received the software,I spoke with the Supervisor who was hostile and aggressive and said that "all customer representatives read from a script and say it is available in a book." I told him I was not told that and he got even more indignant.
They said the only way I could send the material back was to go through a series of receiving and signing 3 letters then I could send it back. They would not tell me what these letters were about.
I sent the material back unopened to the address on the envelope the day I received it.
Now, weeks later I received a letter from them threatening legal action if I did not pay them.I already returned the material weeks ago.
This company is now blaming me for check fraud when they have been misleading and misrepresenting their material and information about the exam requirements.
That letter threatening legal action shows me how unscrupulous they are. I sent them them their money they requested because I don't want to deal with a company that plain evil. They will go to no ends to get money from people and keep it.
