Option One is the worst company I have ever dealt with. If your payment gets to them a few days late, they'll send it back. Then the harassment phone calls begin.

Last part of 2002 I had this problem with them. Finally they said I owned them five payments of 411.10.Ok, I told them I would send all the payments in, so this would be settle. Not so fast, they stated that they had started foreclosure, so I would have to pay an additional 2,308.07 in attorney fees, plus additional cost.

Ok, send me an itemized statement from the attorney's office, so I could see were my money was going. They said that I need to contact them myself, so I did, the attorney's office has yet to provide me with any information, and I cannot get this from Option one.

I began sending payments of 800.00 to them, with the understanding I wanted this itemized statement.

In January 2003, my payment was late, so they sent it back. After several times trying to straighten this out, I was told in April 2003, that I was seven payments behind, an I would have to pay a reinstatement fee of 4,394.08. Wrong, just today I asked an Option One rep. about all these extra fees, she wouldnt explained them, and said they would start foreclosure again. When I told her to stay on the line until I turned on my recorded, I did not want to misunderstand any of this conversation, she said no, and hung up on me.

Every time I've talked to one of these people they are rude, and loud. It's as if they're trying to get my home and land.

Understand now my house payment is $411.10 a month, but in six months theyre trying to get $9,372.88 out of me.

I hope to see a class action lawsuit on this company, so I can join it. Now I've got to figure out what to do so I want lose my home. Any suggestions?

OPTION ONE SUX, They repeatedly tried to charge me late fees when I wasn't late

I had a mortgage with Encore Credit, unfortunately they used Option as their administrator. They repeatedly tried to charge me late fees when I wasn't late. I have always paid an extra $200.00 per month to pay the mortgage down, they put it all in impound. I already have an escrow account and didn't need that money going there. I was losing interest monies saved by paying the extra principal payments. After three months of the BULL$HIT I refinanced back with Ameriquest. After reading the website about Ameriquest, I'm not too happy about it. But I honestly have to say that Ameriquest has been very fair and always promptly dealt with any problems I have had. They have never been rude. I will be watching them CLOSELY though. As for Option One, when I refinanced they tried to charge me $10,000 for prepayment penalties, even though the contract clearly states that only two months interest could be charged. I did eventually get my way though and $10,000 turned into $1,300 and I didn't have to spend any additional monies on attorneys (thank GOD). These people suck.
