My report is similar to Cary's from Ill. except my link came thru RealtyTrac. Same double billing @ $29.95 ans $1.00 twice monthly. I called them @ their 800-378-1036 number and got a young woman named Melissa who gave me the runaround and finally passed me to her "supervisor" Bill who reluctantly agreed to a refund and provided the Omaha address information.
I also emailed RealtyTrac as I got my link thru their site and explained the situation particularly my concerns regarding my credit and personal history information. I got a canned disclaimer response from RealtyTrac blah, blah, blah as to how they have no responsibility etc. Coincidently, my membershio was up for renewal and I responded with an email again informing RealtyTrac of the situation. No response.
Today I again emailed RealtyTrac regarding this activity under their website and am awaiting a response. If a class action suit is activated count me in. Maybe we consumers can force the home websites into a level of responsibility in this manner if they can be included in an action.
