Pep Boys Pep Boys broke my truck, and don't even care!!! Ripoff Hollywood Florida
I needed an oil change and the service engine soon light was on so I took my truck, ford f150 2002 to pep boys. They said that for a diagnostic I have to pay around $100 plus the oil change, so I told them go ahead and call me with the diagnostic cause I need my truck fixed.
At 1 pm a 'technician' calls me, he talks for five minutes and he says $950.00, wow'.
I'm like '.wow'.but go ahead, I need the truck so do it, he tells me two hours and is done, I go at 5 pm, 'right ' .to early, 'come in an hour', go back at 6 pm 'good news THE TRANSMISION DOS NOT GO IN REVESE, they back up the truck in the morning when they took it in the shop and now'.THEY DON'T CARE! I have to pay $900.00 and take my truck from there.
I said hey! I drove the truck and you did too in the morning and now is broken??? How???
Pep boys: 'IT HAPPENED BEFORE, SOME CARS ARE BREAKING IN OUR SHOP, PAY AND LEAVE, WE DID NOT DO ANYTHING TO IT'
So I left my truck there and I left cause I took in a good car and they put a diagnostic and I agree to pay and in the end they give me '.a worse car than I took in '.now....i,m looking for help....DON'T DO THE SAME MISTAKE!

Yes everything was perfect, they told me what is wrong, i agreed with the price, no complains, everything was perfect UNTILL THEY BROKE MY TRUCK. They could take a look and tell me, hey that part just broked, or something, but no, they said " YOUR TRUCK DOES NOT GO IN REVERSE ANYMORE, SOME CARS BROKE IN OUR SHOP. IT HAPPENED BEFORE, WE DID NOT TOUCH IT ", and looking online i belived them it happened a lot, honestly i don't belive in phantoms. so something happened there.

Now you claim everything was just perfect with your truck, yet you wanted them to go through and check everything for issues. Sure. I always have my perfectly fine stuff checked out.

They back up my truck from the parking lot !!! and thanks for GET THE TRANSMISION REPAIRED .... now i'm shure they have to do it. about scams???? i agreed to pay $950.00 for tune up, i just needed my truck fixed, and i told them that something is wrong with the truck , they should look at everything....at least a real shop does it, or maybe they did , and everything was perfect and THEY BROKE MY TRUCK. Thank you

It won't go into reverse, eh? That's the oldest scam against a shop there is. You park your vehicle so it only needs to move forward, and the unwitting mechanic drives it in. When it won't back out, the owner of the vehicle claims the mechanic did something to cause the problem. Sure. Nice try. Now, go get the transmission repaired. You tried to get it done for FREE(being in Florida was my first clue), and it didn't happen. The Boyzzzzzzz did nothing wrong. For those who don't know, Florida is the Scam Capital of the world. They have the most useless Consumer Affairs Division ever created. Look at the number of complaints in this site alone, about Florida businesses. Even so, Raul is not telling the truth about what happened to his truck.
