This company phoned me the day before Christmas to offer their "service' of providing many magazine subsciptions bundled into one low price. For just a few payments I would be set for up to four years with any subscription I wanted from a list of 100's and free to change subscriptions at any time. I would pay the bundled rate for a year or so, and the subscriptions would keep coming for up to 48 months! It was like Netflix for magazines....and I won a men's dress watch! Wow! They called my cell phone while I was at break from work and when I said I needed to get back to it, they said "Just talk to this next guy that calls and verify everything. Your new watch is on it's way!" So, he verifys everthing: my Magazine Titles, my address, and credit card for automatic payments. I said; "I don't have a pen to write anything down right now so if I cange my mind I'll be able to call you from the reciept you'll be sending, right?" "Oh sure, sure." I did get something a few days later, but I was told I couldn't cancel the order. I needed to call within three days. That tipped me off to my "spidey senses" and I went to the bank the next day and cancelled that card. I lost my first "payment" of $49.81.... And they still like to call me 3 months later expecting a different answer as they try to claim I owe them something because my payments since December haven't gone through. I owe them nothing as I've recieved only "ESPN special editions" that I didn't ask for.
