I moved to Atlanta, Georgia looking for new careers with my friend Austin. I posted resumes on different job posting sites. On Dec 6th I checked my e-mailed and received from Point Marketing Group. So I tell my friend Austin we drive 3 hours for my first interview. Tony seemed to be a nice person at the start honest and upfront so I thought. I asked him if it was door-to-door sales he denied to answer my Question. So we continued the interview and he asked me when can I start and I told him Monday so that way I would have three days to find a apartment here in Georgia since he saying I make $400 week plus commission sounds awesome to me. So the following Monday I come to work with a positive attitude and drop about 4 books, so I'm thinking great my first day at work. Then later on that week I begin to realize that I haven't filled out any type of paperwork for 1099's or anything that pertains to government and or state. So the following day I asked Tony what's up with no paper work so he proceed with the answer you are your own Independent Contract and you are responsible for your own wages so I said okay. Anyways after working three weeks with Point Marketing Group/ Cause Solutions I only was paid $118. My last week at Point Marketing Group I asked Tony where was my pay which was the week before Christmas, he responded. "Come back Monday and I'll give you your check." Okay that's some what of a problem but I'll get it Monday I said. Monday night comes and I go to get my check from Tony, amount of the check $1,500.00 for two weeks of pay plus commission. Tuesday I'm at the office waiting for work to start and I decide to go to the bank to cash my check so anyways it turned out the money was not available for me to cash and they called Tony to see if I'm actually an employee with Point Marketing and he said yes and told them to keep my check. Later on that evening I received a call from Tony stating he has filled a Police Report at Sandy Springs Police Department for Fraudulent Behaviors and trying to rip him off a $1,000 at least. Afterwards he told me that the minimum was three years in Jail which I would enjoy. Speaking with my lawyer he told me that I was in the right for endorsing my paycheck and told me to keep all evidence. This company is a rip-off and I advise no one to work for this company.
