I placed an order on 5/21/07 for a pool liner and the liner coping strips to go with it. Delivery to be made in 2- 8 days. For days, order showed as "transmitting" to warehouse.

Finally on 5/24, showed as "processed", but no info given. I have been calling & e-mailing ever since, attempting to get the needed information, or to confirm cancelling of the order so I could order from someplace that would respond & ship on time.

Yesterday, 5/30 the status changed to include a tracking #. I tracked it and found that it was given a Fed-Ex label on 5/24 and was scheduled to be delivered on 5/30 ( ?? ) and no other info.

I contacted Fed-Ex that said label was generated but nothing was ever shipped. Has since been updated that package was received for shipment at 8 PM last night and is scheduled to be deliverd on 6/6/07 now. Packge weight is 2.7 lbs !! Sounds like coping strips, but definitely NOT the liner.

I have e-mailed them all day, each so called department, customer service, purchasing, sales, order tracking etc, called and even faxed them to no avail.

I have no idea if this "shipment" actually includes the liner or not.

I called my credit card company to find out they billed my account on 5/24 for the entire order. I requested that the charge be Held and not paid, explaining the details. I was told that can't be done as it has posted. Not sure how a charge for something that hadn't even been shipped could be posted to my account already, but anyhow, I was asked to try and contact them again, and allow more time. If needed I can "dispute the charge" at a later date. MORE attempts, same old recording directing you back to internet site and getting no reply again.

I have sent e-mails again to all "departments", requesting they cancel the order.....again with no reply. I am stuck, everyone is hollering for the pool and now I don't know if I should continue waiting and hope that the liner "may" be part of the delivery scheduled for 6/6/07, or go ahead and get one elsewhere and fight it out later.

I have always enjoyed shopping online, and had very good luck in the past. But PDP Pools, (pooldeals.com) has definitely left a bad taste. BEWARE !!!!

I experienced a similar issue some months back - I was the one who requested it be canceled (because it had already taken well over SIX months) and I was not willing to wait any longer. They went ahead and canceled my order (I received an email almost immediately), but the refund is where the issue lies. Even though the order was cancelled (and never shipped in those 150+ days), they still want to charge me a 25% restocking fee. To me that is RIDICULOUS, nothing was ever sent, why should I pay a restocking fee? Keep us updated with what's going on, I plan to file suit against them in small claims court and all the extra info, the better.

Well after more than a week and many. many RMA request, I finally got an e-mail today with an RMA # !! But order total including shipping and NY state tax was $203.21, they are offering to refund $106.00 and expect me to pay about $45 out of that to return the merchandise. They want to deduct their costs to ship it to me, as well as the 25% restocking fee !! The order was cancelled, they sent me a confirmation that the order was cancelled due to the supplier not being able to ship in a timely manner!!!!!!!!!! Then they proceeded to ship it. Has been sitting in my Foyer unopened since delivery. It was THEIR mistake to ship an order that was cancelled. Why should I be responsible for their mistake??? I am continuing this fight with my credit card company. I am NOT going to just go away and let them get away with this. Would end up costing me about $145.00, accepting their offer and to send THEIR merchandise back to them. I hate them, I hate them, I hate them......... !!!!!

I wrote to them the other day requesting an RMA to return the Liner AND the coping strips, since they are not needed. No reply to that but I did get a reply finally to the e-mail l I sent back to their sales department in response to theirs confirming the liner had been cancelled. I am pasting it here for all to see. About sums up their customer service : ( NON-SERVICE, I should say ) ____________________ Subject: Re: www.PoolDeals.com: User filled in Contact Us form! Thanks for finally replying. The ENTIRE order needs to be cancelled and my Discover card account credited, for the entire $203.21. Since I did not get the liner, I certainly do not need the coping strips ____________ Can't say as I am surprised. If they don't reply soon with an RMA, it's back to the credit card company again.... when will it end !!

DPD Pools....Order FINALLY Cancelled, and THEN.........

I officially filed a "dispute" with the credit card co., on Saturday, and we went out and purchased a new liner. On Sunday, we installed the new liner and I also started receiving replies from DPD, ( I think I have gotten at least 5 so far) all apologizing that the delay was due to the supplier and confirming the order had been cancelled. I got home from work tonight to find a box containing the DPD liner sitting at my front door. Great, after all this time I FINALLY get it cancelled, and today it shows up at my door. Funny thing is, this was shipped UPS and isn't even the 2.7 LB package the site had said was being shipped by Fed-Ex. Now to find out from them, ( ha, ha .. ) how to get it returned to them. Should be interesting!
