Alright, so I wouldn't call these guys a COMPLETE scam, but they're still down there as "questionable hustle". What you're basically paying for is for this tiny out-of-state company (primarily Steve) to find you a person who claims to be a DJ off craigslist, offer you a ridiculously-low rate & then keep half the money for himself. 9 times out of 10, the end result is a packaged combo-deal of over-promised/under-serviced client & over-worked/underpaid DJ.
Also, a new practice that Premier Music seems to be initiating lately is not paying their DJ's (reports here & also on craigslist)... However they're still keeping your money. If you want to go the cheap-route on hiring a DJ, go to craigslist yourself - not only will you save money, the DJ you're paying will also make more money & more than likely will provide you with better service.
