This Premier Premium Communications outfit is definitely a major SCAM. At first, I was very worried, as I have been having major problems with my computer lately and I kept getting these weird messages when my computer would freeze up and I would have to do a "hard boot" to log out and start over. I would get these messages like "If you disconnect now, other logged-in users' work may be lost." I had a good hunch that some type of spyware had infected my system and was somehow logging into my computer everytime I signed on.

So I started using our other computer and have not had any problems. But I tried to go back recently to the computer that I have been having problems with and the hard drive is now totally hosed (dead). I asked our computer tech worker at the law firm where I work about these messages I was also getting about my "virtual memory" being too low, and he said this often happens when viruses take over your computer and start opening multiple programs and that sort of thing.

He told me to install a program called "Spybot," which I did. The first time I ran it, it detected like 95 problems - viruses, automatic web dialers, and stuff like that. I thought by clicking on the "Fix Problem" button, they would be deleted and my problem would be solved. No, it wasn't. Every time I ran Spybot after that first time, it kept detecting this automatic webdialing software.

So this explains the invoice I received from Premier Premium Communications yeterday (11/23/04) for $185.00. I have not made any of these calls nor authorized any of them to be made. Like the rest of you, I am just another victim of this ridiculous SCAM.

My uncle is a district attorney and I plan to contact him to see what I need to do. I also plan to contact all three credit bureaus used in Texas, the Texas Attorney General, and any other agencies I can think of to try to put a stop to these scam artists. I'm sorry everyone else is having to deal with this crap. Let's all stick together and fight this so others don't have to come home to an invoice in their mailbox that is totally bogus.

I have already wasted a lot of time trying to figure out what to do about this so I don't end up ruining my credit, as the invoice threatens on the back side. At least, it feels reassuring to hear so many of the stories here -- all almost identical to my own. This confirms to me that this is, indeed, a total SCAM.
