My Wife talked with Direct TV and then talked to Prime Cast on Monday--Oct 10, 2011. The lady--I do not have her name right now--at Direct TV explained that Direct TV provided the signal--or cable service and that Prime Cast provided the installation of the equipment and any needed future repairs. That they stopped our cable service because Prime Cast contacted Direct TV stating we still owed for equipment. My Wife then contacted Prime Cast. The lady she spoke with on Monday at Prime Cast stated we did have a promotion and that she would put in an order to reverse the $199.00 charge that Prime Cast has started billing us for after the installation of the Direct TV Service. Once again this was installed on 07-05-11. We have not had any cable service since last Friday 10-07-11. My wife again called Prime Cast today and spoke with a couple of people. They stated that the $199.00 charge stands. I have filed a complaint with the Michigan Attorney Generals Office on Prime Cast and Direct TV. Still waiting to hear from the lawyer I emailed--that was referred from the National Association of Consumer Advocates--if we do not hear from them by this afternoon will give them a call. Will update more later.

We heard today from the law office of Weisberg and Meyers and they recommended for people to go to the NACA--National Association Consumers Advocate--on this site you can do a lawyer search--to find a lawyer in your area--who handles issues of consumer fraud. Go to naca.net

IMMEDIATELY go to the bank or company where your credit/debit card was issued and tell them you want a new card with a new account number ASAP. Once DirecTV has your account number, they will help themselves to anything they want.
They did this to me, and hundreds of other people on this website.
And unless you have all their "offers" in writing, I don't think an attorney will be able to help you.

I had a similar experience with directv but I am canceling the whole thing monday since they do not respond to the phones now over the weekend. Nothing i ordered was received and all the free stuff that I was supposed to get i never got and the pack choice was not what I ordered. Directv has called me about 15 times since yesterday with surveys and all sorts of automated messages I dont answer them anymore will do the same like you did contact my consumer rights attorney Weisberg and Meyers they are really good attorneys and handle all sorts of consumer fraud and consumer cases. I most cases they dont charge any upfront fees so give them a try I have used them several times and they have won every single case for me so far.
