Primus Northwest is the clear definition of a scam. It started out when a man named Dennis Kane gave me a call on my cell to discuss a car that I had listed on Swapalease.com He told me he did not want to finish the lease, but would rather purchase the car (after receiving the buyout quote from the leasing company). Once this was agreed upon, he expressed that the amount he wanted to pay was 1500 dollars less than what the leasing company wanted. This being said, we decided to pay the difference so he could payoff the car for about $30,000 (and the lease would be terminated). As the agreement was made, Dennis explained that he is very honest business man and doesnt hide anything. He explained everything was right upfront and there are no surprises.  As it wasnt enough to scam my family, he felt the need to go the extra mile and feed me garbage about how I should call all of his references and how trustworthy of a person he is (and some other lies which I dont care to bore anyone with). One thing led to another, an agreement was made and it was now time for Dennis to come and pick up the car (to ship it back to Houston). Foolishly, I handed over the keys after the paperwork was signed / filled out, and was assured his check was sufficient and met the criteria of the leasing company that owned the car. After 1 week went by, I requested that the leasing company find out if the check was received and cleared (so the lease could be ripped up). It was than and there that I learned he not only sent it to the wrong address, but it was some personal check that was as good as toilet paper. Who writes a personal check for that kind of money when dealing with a major company (when their requirements were written all over the paperwork he had just filled out)? Did he think this would actually work? Anyways, at this point my worst fear came true. After contacting Dennis to address the situation, he continued to feed us more bogus facts and said he was trying to get the funds together. After various phone calls and a wide array of verbal disputes (over 4-5 days), he continued to dodge the situation and put this 35,000 dollar car on his lot (which by the way has only 3 cars on it - check his website). Keep in mind that the leasing company would not hand over the title to this vehicle until he paid up, so it was evident he intended to go ahead and try and sell the car without one. After a great deal of trouble, we were able to pull some strings down in Texas and get the car repossessed from him. Once faced with the possibility of being thrown in jail (and a list of other consequences), he handed the keys right over. Although many people end up losing these kind of battles and typically dont get their cars back, it was soon evident he messed with the wrong people. Not only was the car taken from him, but we also got the money back that we initially shelled out to him. Although the story has somewhat of a positive ending, we had to go through a great deal of personal expense getting it back in our possession. I am not the type of person to bad mouth anyone (or their business), but this man put my family through a great deal of stress and agony and I cant begin to explain how untrustworthy these people are. If this article can prevent this from happening to just even 1 other person, than I would say I have done my job. STAY CLEAR OF THESE PEOPLE AND TAKE THE BUSINESS ELSEWHERE!!!!!!!!
