On April 03 , 2012 My girlfriend and I went to go pay for our storage unit and go get something out of it, when we opened our storage unit , we were in shock when we discovered all of our stuff was GONE! The first thing we noticed was the pad lock that we had on it was securely locked and still all in tacked,let me add we rented the lock itself from Public Storage, the only people who have the key is us and them , because they carry the Master Key "that's their job too".
The only way through the gated area is through access code only, the only way to get into the unit is through Lock and Key. Whomever had broken into our storage, had to have the master key and had enough time to go through everything we owned from our furniture, too our personal memorabilia ,sort out what they wanted from our boxes and take anything or everything they thought were of value to them , and leave us with feeling violated and victimized.
The pulic storage we rented from was 1621 N.E 71ST Avenue Portland Oregon There are surveillance camera postings all over the building site, so I trusted the fact they they have cameras on their property, our personal belongings would be SAFE.
I filed a police report and I am waiting on the results.
