Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?

I sent my working toshiba satellite to them with the charging cord and no battery (I told them about the battery).  I get a quote of $56 for the laptop, fine it was old...then I get an email telling me it was missing the cord and charger (I sent them), the motherboard was shot (funny it worked when I sent it), the keyboard was unworkable due to spill (I never used it on anything but my lap, so I know that is a lie),

and it was worthless due to 'wear on the plastic' and they would recycle it free of charge....NOT happening.  I called to tell them to send it back and was told they wanted $35 to send it back claiming it cost them $10 each time they sent the box....how does an empty box cost $10 to ship???  Then I was told to 'call the cops and try filing a report'.  I worked w/them in good faith thinking they were an honerable business...I WAS SOOO VERY WRONG.

I actually did check for complaints and kept getting the page of reviews posted by the company itself...however I didn't catch that until I'd already had my computer stolen.  I had to go through the BBB site to find actual customer complaints.

This company is in the business of THEFT and nothing more.  DO NOT USE THESE GUYS!

I retired from the legal field and was well aware of the quote difference.  I had also included detailed information on its condition.  Having written thousands of contracts, I was very careful to give them all the information for a low ball offer in the first place.  Underpromise/overdeliver.  No, these guys are not working under good business ethics

First there is a difference between the price you are quoted. When they gave you your quote it was under the assumption that the computer was 100% defect free. I cant speak about the charger Im not there. But I can speak about my experiences with online trade ins. There is a difference between what they offer and the ACTUAL condition. I sent in a Iphone 3 to a now dead website. I was quoted roughly $100, but when they got it, they knocked over half of it off. See they just dont take your word that the device is in perfect order. They actually inspect them and take money off for ANY imperfection. In my case there was a scuff on the side from going in and out of my pocket and a TINY scratch on the bottom. This caused the price to drop. I asked them to ship it back and was told I had to pay for it. I screamed and yelled but it wasnt THIER fault. See these shipping companies charge a arm and a leg for anything. It ended up costing me a extra $25 to get my device back. This is a major problem with using the internet to do trade ins.

In the future dont use online sites to do trade ins. Its very disappointing to have to pay to get something back. Stick with LOCAL businesses to do trade ins with. Ive always had good luck with radioshack on trade ins. They dont give cash but they do give you a gift card and that you can use on thier website..

Good luck in your fight.
