Been in the jewelry business for 25+ years. Rado's are one of the better watches. However, they ain't no "leak or scratch proof" watches out there. Ain't no such thing. Doesn't matter if you pay $1800 or $18,000. It'll leak or scratch. As a matter of fact, under FTC rules you can't even use the term water-proof or scratch- proof. They're scratch or leak RESISTANT, but that's all. Kind of like taking a mercedes 4 wheeling and wondering why it's breaking down. Rado's are hi-grade dress watches and expensive to get repaired. Buy yourself a timex or a casio to work in. Some of these dealers will tell you anything you want to hear about their watches.
