I have been employed by RAmada Plaza Resorts for 2 years now. i find it ignorant and insulting to read the complaints. it is required by law that we at ramada send everyone to a verification department. On audio tape the consumer is restated details and told for about the 5th time that this is sold non refundable and there is a time share tour. california and ilinois are not required to take the tour. To everyone who is whining about being in a dificult situation and not able to take the vacation do me a favor- call Norwegian, Carnival, or any other cruise line- book a cruise- which i guarentee your deposit will be more than with us-and then call them a few months later to cancel because you are in a "bad situation". IT WON'T HAPPEN. Please use common sense when making accusations against a company. if you buy a car but then can't afford it anymore do you ask for your money back?

I have been an employee of Ramada Plaza resotrs for a year now. I would first like to clarify that there are at least 30 diffrent company's that sell diffrent vaction packages for Ramada, It is our strict policy that it is sold like any other super saver vaction package on a NON-CANCELATION policy. Every repersentive is differnt and everyone knows that not everyone is honest. It is in my opion that if the rep did not state the correct information that it is his or her fault and not that of the company. Also every person that puts down a deposit is sent to a Verification department at that time they told everything again on tape with no hassels, it also states at that time that it is sold on the non-cancelation policy, then asks the customer if they understand. When and only then if the customer understands everything is the order processed and the card charged. If you are a wise consumer and are giving your card number for a charge one would think that you would have all the
information correct before autherizing that charge. I too have been on the cruise and can say that although it may not be a new ship it is nice and clean. As far as the time share thing that it also told to the customer at least 4 times throught the duration of the conversaton that they must take that. So again before you blame an entire company for a problem that stemed with probably one person, think first!!!

I too have been duped by Ramada Plaza Resorts. After putting a downpayment of their supposed cruise I searched the web in search of info on them. To my suprize I found nothing but bad information. They lure you down to wherever then you have to sit thru a timeshare condo sales pitch and they try to sell you upgrades to your cruise. Anyway to make a long story
short... (Too late. haha)
I called them back and told them I wanted my money back. At first they refused. Then I threatened to forward this to my
State attorneys office. They immediately changed their tune and I got my refund a few days later. Oh and by the way... Ramada Plaza Resorts are/were in battles with numerous State Attorneys offices.
