We were pressured into this over the phone. My older son Jeremy Nicolet and his newly married wife were scammed into this and told they could pay in two payments the first payment they needed to pay "right now" in order to hold the deal or the opportunity would pass them by and they would miss the chance of a lifetime. After a series of questions, my son decided this would be a great way to escape for such a bargain. At the time they were living in California and were in process of moving back here. Christi had misplaced the info during the move and as she was unpacking she saw the package. Having been over a year since making payment one, she placed the call and said they were not going to be able to make the trip and would like their money back. Not only was she told "that is impossible" she was told that unless she came up with the second payment on this phone call, she would loose the vacation as well as her $898.00 unless the transaction was completed that day. Not only that! Ramada said that their agreement was a contract and that they owed the second payment of $898.00and if it did not get paid on this phone call, Ramada would hire a collection agency and report them, that this would mess up their credit score. My kids did not have the second payment and the Rep asked if there was someone else who could buy the trip, and so they came to me to ask if I wanted the package. I spoke to the agent and was told "if you do not help your kids out in this they will lose their money already invested; but if I pay the second amount $898.00 they could transfer the tickets to my name and we could have the "dream vacation of our lifetime". Because I did not want the kids to lose their $898.00. After over an hour on the phone I spoke to several supervisors. I stated I did not want the package, but I did not want the kids to lose their money either. He told me that the kids would lose everything they put into it, and they were under contract and were obligated to pay the second payment. So I reluctantly paid. Since that time I have been paying on my credit card for the amount and interest. I did not know I could even get a refund as the company reps told me it is non refundable, just as Jeremy and Christi were told. This is how they trapped me and I have felt trapped ever since. Not only did they pressure me and my wife to buy this, neither of us ever even wanted to go on a cruise. As far as I'm concerned this company needs to be shut down by the State of Florida. I feel they are fraudulent and misleading. While on the phone that day I asked him if this was a timeshare thing or if we would have to sit and listen to a sales pitch. He said no, that this was a legitimate vacation package and not a time share; all we had to do is pay and we could be on our way. Since that conversation, I have found out that there is a 90 min. sit and listen to a pitch.
