I thought the exact same thing as the first author did when reading the Ad, so I paid the shipping charges.
I received a confirmation email from the company stating after entering my method of payment that read:
You have a full 30 days to try your RAWMinerals Discovery Kit. If you enjoy RAWMinerals, do nothing. You'll be billed one low payment of $90.00 on 4/30/2008. That's a 50% SAVINGS off the retail price.
Plus, you'll enjoy free enrollment in our SmartShip service. You'll get a 2-month supply of RAWMinerals Foundations and Active Veil every 60 days and lock in the members-only price of just $59.50 per shipment billed to your credit card. You SAVE 30% on every shipment! No risk. No obligation. Cancel anytime!
Absolutely no mention of any charges other than shipping appeared on the Website, or anything else that would lead the consumer to believe that anything other than shipping was involved.
When I cancelled my order upon recieving the confirmation email, I was instructed to return the order by 5/3/08, or be billed. The cancellation further stated that the company needed an additional 10 days in order to process my returned "product," or I would be billed $90.00.
Other consumers of this misleading company have spent far greater than I have, and have also continued to be billed after cancelling, and returning the product. This is definitely a case of BUYER BEWARE!
