My story sounds the exact same as the other two! I got 4 phone calls within a half an hour at 8:30pm on a Tuesday night! I decided to call back to see who was harrassing me! I talked to a man named Darnell who was calling me from a bar and seemed to have been drinking. He was polite until he got my telephone number out of me and then started in about this 4 year old debt that I needed to pay IMMEDIATLY! I have worked with a credit counselor a few years back so I KNEW that all of my debt had been paid, so Darnell had to be wrong. He kept insisting that I just give him my debit card info to him to pay it off or else they were going to tack on some like 300% amount to my account. He was very loud, rude, interuptive, intrusive, abusive, and unreasonable. I asked him to call me back the next day so I could have 24 hours to look into the debt and then I would pay him. He said if I did not pay it right that minute that he would take the money without consent. So I got the company name to look up on the internet and put him on hold. while on hold I started making phone calls to figure things out, and Darnell continued talking to his friends and hitting on girls while he was holding on my cell. I knew at that second, he was not for real and I needed to get rid of him. He finally got sick of waiting and hung up his end of the line. What it came down to is that I called my old debtor and found out that my debt was indeed paid off and they were going to take care of it from there (thank God!). Please just don't fall for their lies. DO Not give them any updated info on you and espicially not your account info over the phone. Take the time to research it and you will most likely find out that you do not owe what they say you owe! These are horrible low life scums of the earth and need to be thrown in jail!! They only want to take advantage of you, DON'T LET THEM!!!!

No call can be made outside of the building, legally or realistically. No employee has access to account records outside the building. As him being 'rude' and apparently drunk is false because that is not tolerated in any business. Employees are required to wear slacks and collared shirts every day. No way did an employee sneak in drunk and disorderly as you are claiming. On the note of credit information being incorrect, we only call who the creditors give us. Take the case to the original creditor.

Any (true) representative of this company, whose sole purpose is to collect a debt, would never in their right mind act this way. There are several federal collection laws that have to be followed. With that being said, I find this report to be false & simply a mere bash on somone in this line of work. Somtimes debts are not reported to the creditors correctly, which can lead to them being sent to collection agency after collection agency. That would be a rare case though.
