Contrary to what many may believe Regency Furniture DOES NOT manufactur it's own furniture. We much like our customers have to order furniture from other large manufacturers, such as Ashley or Aico. Depending on stock availability, and which brand the customer chooses, the delivery times vary. Some manufacturers take longer than others to ship to our warehouse. Our Regency Furniture store located in Brandywine has in excess over 220, 000 sq ft. of furniture on the floor, one of the largest furniture showrooms in the entire east coast. So you cant logically expect us to have ALL of that immense amount of furniture in stock at all times because thats nearly impossible. Regency Furniture does understand that sometimes we cant get certain things in stock, thus we have alternatives for cases like that. The back of our contract CLEARLY states that if we are not able to get the customer's furniture in within 4 weeks after the promised delivery date then we will either refund the customer's money in full, or have the customer reselect something that is in stock, depending on what the customer wants. If Regency Furniture was as corrupt and pernicious as Mr. Loyd makes us out to be then we obviously wouldnt be one of the largest and fastest growing furniture stores in the DC/VA/MD area, and we also wouldnt have lasted this long. Mr. Loyd may have been told everything was in stock because there may have been an inventory error at the time. But by no means do we intentionally rip off our customers because that would be very foolish on our part. Regency Furniture is too big of a company to even consider the concept of ripping off our customers. Regency Furniture treats all customers with equal respect, and each and every Regency furniture customer signs the very same contract that Mr. Loyd signed. We do apoligize for any misunderstandings, and we certainly acknowledge the fact that we, like every other company, can not satisfy all of our customers.
