Heads up if you are looking for a reputable contractor or company:
I hired Rob Golden, a local builder based out of Ellington CT and affliated with Gerber Construction Inc, to redo my horse riding arena in April 2017.
I had saved a long time for this project, and was really excited. I was quoted 6000. I paid 2000 upfront and the remaining 4000 the weekend he stated the job would be completed. He was notrious for not showing up at times he said he would, making excuses, not communicating in general. When I had doubts about certain aspects of the project I was assured it would all work out in the end.
He stated the project woud take 3 weekends. That stretched out over a period of 8 instead, until finally he stopped responding to any texts or calls. He came early one morning and removed all his equipment without saying a word.
Realizing he walked aay from the project, I hired another building company to come out and quote me for the remaining work needing to be done. That company stated that the job was improperly done, and that all materials I had brought that were laid down would have to be scrapped and used as process. That company stated that a job that would have originally cost me 10K will now cost another 10K to fix.
Please avoid this man.

I filed a request a few days ago asking for my report to be removed. I have yet to hear from the admins, but I believe it's not common practice to delete reports once they are posted. While it is true I experienced a miscommunication with the builder, a few days after I wrote this up, the builder settled the matter favorably and amicably. So I formally retract this statement and as it stands, my words on 6/27 are baseless and non reflective of the situation and his name. Kindly disregard. Celynna Linton, original poster.
