Hello everybody: This is your man in the street following up on my report listed above. It is terrific that Cary Hubert got his knife replaced by Ronco....ALBEIT, 3 MONTHS LATER. Don't do business with this company unless you are willing to endure some abuse. Here's the latest HOT TIP on this unscrupulous and rude company. Just got a letter back from Mr. Bill Locklear our man on the job at the Attorney Generals office, PO Box 944255, Sacramento, CA 94244-2550. Per the Dept. of Justice, they want any and all complaints sent to them on this J.O. "Mr.Hair in a Can" Ron Pompeil from Ronco. Mr. Locklears office also suggested that the State (Tax) Board of Equalization be notified; at 23141 Moulton Pkwy, Suite #100, Laguna Hills, Ca 92653. I was charged 9.7% tax on my order (before I cancelled it on my credit card...and is Ronco "ticked off"...) Our tax rate is 7.75% so I'm asking the tax board if they are getting the extra tax money that Mr. Popeil is charging. If you've been charged 9.7% tax on your order, you should notify the California State Board of Equalization and let them coordinate it with your state. We need all the tax money we can get in our state....just like every other state. I'll look forward to hearing some "new" stories. Signing off, Your man on the street

Hey neighbor. Ronco is the company that Ron Popeil started. You know, "hair in a can" and all the other whacky crap he hawks on TV. The only thing I've ever seen that actually works is that chicken rotisserie. My sister bought one. It does cook pretty nicely. But so does my oven. Go to Flatwoods Outfitters out there on Riggs Rd. The guy there has different lines, some real cheap, some real nice. There used to be a decent knife/cuttlery store in Jacksonville Mall. I'm not sure if they are still there though. Good luck.
