I had a similar experience with this comapnay which has rsulted in an on-going lawsuit. We purchased a motorhome from the same RV Outlet lot in Quartsite Arizona. The salesman claimed we would not have to pay sales tax either in California or Arizona, if we parked the motorhome in Arizona for 90 days. RV Outlet also threatened to have me arrested if I did not turn over my 5th wheel trailer, which was NOT to be traded in on the deal. My loan was funded three weeks before I received delivery of my unit. RV outlet promised to make my first payment, but never did. some of the same cast of characters were involved in our transaction; 1. Tony Scharr 2. Wellington Bill Louis 3. John Black We are still in litigation in Arizona and have been for a year. I would like to hear from other consumers, especially California residents who were sold RVs with the promise of not having to pay any sales tax. After several hours of investigation, I have discovered that when a vehicle is purchased out of sate by a California resident, with the specific INTENT to bring it back into California, sales tax MUST be paid to the state of California. I would recommend for any possible consumers, who are thinking about purchasing a motorhome out of state, contact the California Board of Equalization for further clarification. There are some exemptions to this rule, but they are few and strict. Good Luck with any future RV purchase and please do your homework, before you put any of your hard earned money down towards any motorhome purchase. The internet has opened up many avenues to assist consumers with investigations of dealers and finance options. Good Luck maponced

The redacted link in my previous report was for the NADA Guide. You can Google "NADA Guide" to research RV prices. Print out your research and share it with any salesperson you deal with.
