Safe Auto Glass presented themselves as "Safe Lite Auto Glass" Nationwide
I found this company on Groupon.com and purchased the windshield replacment. I then emailed them like the instructions said to schedule my appointment. The guy responded saying to call a 1-800 number to set the appointment. I did so and the number when to Safe Lite Auto Glass. Well the Safe Lite guy showed up to do the job and when I presented the Groupon, he said this is not my company and I cannot accept it. Sure enough, the print out said "Safe Auto Glass" and not Safe Lite Auto Glass. I immediately called Groupon to get a refund, they did so with no proplems. The very next day my credit monitoring service that I pay monthly for contacted me saying someone posing as me set up an address change at the post office. I immediately called the post office to inform of the fradulent activity. I then proceded to call every one of my credit cards to report the incident. Now, I don't have any actual proof that this so called Safe Auto Glass was the one to change my address, but the timing is incredible. Expecially being they got my full name and address when I emailed to set the appointment. I have since reported them to the BBB and Groupon. My advise is that if you don't want your identity stolen, stay away from this "company."
