I am a former employee as well as a former customer of this awful place. This company treats their employees like crap, and everyone is stressed out and always seeking employment else where. If you stand up for yourself management will even the score and make it so bad you want to quit.

Travelers insurance was so bad employees complained everyday all day non stop. The adjusters have no clue what they are doing, and adjusters are allowed to mistreat customers and nonadjuster staff. You can call any govermental agency you want and they will get away with it.

Working at this company was the worst thing to happen to me in my entire working life, it was so bad I thought of ending my own life. I only stayed because no other company was willing to meet or beat the salary of St. Paul Travelers. I am thankful to God for delivering me from an aweful dungeon.

I am a injured worker and my claim center and adjusters are in Houston,Tx. I cant say much about the claims adjuster for my on the job injury she has been fair but rude and doesn't like to call you back. The nurse case managers act like they know more than the surgeon your seeing and they knows whats best for you not the surgeon are the doctors. I have been fighting for surgery ever since Jen. 08 and they keep coming up with some stupid excuse from there Physician Advisor's that only quote stuff out of the medical journal word from word found it on goggle to confirm. We keep appealing it and the same thing happens and every 60 days like clock work that b***h nurse case manager orders a designated doctors visit threw TDI and I go and he or she says no I cant go back to work and no I haven't reached my MMI or Inpairiment rating yet and wont until surgery is done. Well after getting a lawyer we sent them a 30 day decision approve the surgery or we go to TWCC court and we will win I have see the court records on other cases similar to mine and Travelers don't stand chance. Then I told them I will sue them in regular court over bad faith and other things and win there to so if they decide to keep fighting it I will enjoy breaking off in there a** real deep just like they are trying to do to me and already a little bit but trust me I will break it off much deeper oh yes. So as far as Travelers treating there employees like crap it reflects in there customer service and on down the line so I cant blame you if you left and as far as the employees that say its a good place to work if your one of these case managers that think you know everything and know more than the doctor that go jump off a bridge or play in traffic and make the rest of us happy.

#3UPDATE EX-employee responds

Thu, February 21, 2008

I used to work for St Paul Travelers and wished I still could. (I had to move)They were as fair as possible, generous with the pay, great 401k and paid vacations. The company has many rules inforced so that you would not be abused. If you were treated so poorly, why did you not report it to HR? You wanted to kill yourself over a job? The crazy part about your response was that you wanted to take your own life but you couldn't find a job that paid as much???? Money or death? Niether of these sounds like a choice. I hope you are young and just being dramatic.

#4UPDATE Employee

Sun, July 01, 2007

I was reviewing the reports on St. Paul Travelers and found that there were some very unsatisfied customers and ex-employees. I have been an employee of this company for over 15 years and I have found exactly the oposite of that information portrayed in the reports I read. The employees, my co-workers, and myself are very satisfied with our employer, benefits and working conditions. I hear very few complaints. I enjoy working for St. Paul Travelers very much. As noted above I initially began working for this company when it was called Aetna in 1991, then in 1996 when Aetna merged with Travelers, and in early 2000 with Travelers merged with CitiGroup, and unmerged in 2002 and finally in 2004 when Travelers merged with St. Paul. This company is one of the best companies that I have ever worked for and I have found that those who seem to feel that they have been wrongly treated or who feel they have had a bad experience with this company are few and far between. And as with all ex-employees you have to take into account the reason that they are no longer working for the company to determine whether their reports may be biased. With policy holders there is the very real possibility that they did not review their policy to see what it covered as the policy is only as good as it is written and both parties are held to that policy whether it covers everything or not once the accident or injury occurs. Thank you for everything Travelers.
