Tell us has your experience with this business or person been good? What's this?
I have worked for ALbertsons for about 8 years, plus two years at Savemart after they have bought us out. So you would think that after 10 years I would NOT have to worry about my paychecks being shorted......wrong!

I was "floated" to a different store, the Natomas store, and despite the aweful amount of traffic for the lame 4 hour shifts, I was happy to be getting hours. Until my check came, they had never paid me! I filed a complaint with both my store director, and the Union, and I got the F*** run around......

I was told, "you never even punched in if the system didnt record your hours" like their stupid system is incapable of mistakes....How many of you grocery workers honestly had to say something because you were truly shorted an hour, a whole day, or like me, a whole friggin week of pay because this company doesn't think we have the balls to stand up and say, "excuse me, I am NOT a CHARITY!"

It took me 4 weeks of waiting to get reimbursed, and I had to sign for it like I was stealing my own god darned money! And worst of all, this was not the first time I was shorted and had to "prove" my shcedule....these LP scumbags look for any moment that they can have us fired because Savemart pays them very WELL to catch employee theft, all the while they are stealing money out of their own employees pockets, and will try to retaliate a termination if we get authorities involved.

I was told by our own scummy LP that Savemart is hurting for money, and they are in such a great loss that they are desperate to "cut corners" and save money....and the company gives extra incentives to the LP's to catch employees costing the company money. It does not have to be direct theft. This company is pushing the whole "sense of urgency" program, that basically tells us all to run, rather than walk, hurry up, rather than take the time to scan orders properly, and push the customers out the door, rather than socialize with them like Alberstons would let us do.....I am sure I am NOT alone!

Are you saying that all of these Unions that say they "protect" the workers is doing nothing for you either? If that is the case your next step should be the State Labor Board, in CA this is known as the "Division of Labor Standards Enforcement". http://www.dir.ca.gov/dlse/districtOffices.htm
