We were a long time SBC customer, about 8 years. All started when we decided to try out SBC promotional service of long distance for a fixed monthly fee of $20.00 per month, domestic calls only. We were very clear on not switching our international long distance carier and that we are currently AT&T international customers and do not wish to have it changed.

It was agreed by SBC that they could do this. When we got the bill, to our surprise, SBC charged us $5.00 per minutes for all of our international calls when AT&T was only charging us 0.55 cents per minutes. Our bill ended up costing around $1800.00 for the international charges, I believed they had Slammed us on purpose, (FCC will have to decide whether this is a slam).

By switching our international long distance without our permission. We asked SBC to match the cost of long distance that we have been paying with AT&T, but SBC is sticking to their charges of $5.00 per minute. I believed this was uncalled for, outright stealing or ripoff. I hope more people would come out and make their complaints so that SBC will know how bad their services and their people and how rude they are in treating their customers.
