Mr. Greenmun has run a hotel cleaning company, Simply Laptops and a home inspection service. And has apparently failed miserably at all of them. Despite claims that he is an assistant manager with Boston Market, he is only a delivery driver. And I am NOT an ex employee.

All items in my earlier post were taken directly from state corporation filings and bankruptcy filings. Nothing to be refuted.

May I add that I've always had positive experiences with my computers and service from Simply Laptops before sadly closing along with their high rating with the BBB. What's more on the facts on the previous author, this people of the previous post has been terminated for and may face a future lawsuit for defamation of character.

Jeffrey Greenmun is a fraud and a con man. He ran the Philcor Group and Simply Laptops for four years using money from friends and family, including over one million dollars from a 75 year old woman who was a friend of the family. In four years, he managed to lose 1.7 million dollars. And even though Philcor was listed as a non-profit, only 7,500 dollars was ever given to charity. Philcor filed for bankruptcy earlier this year. As did Mr. Greenmun since he had personally guaranteed the loans made to him and Philcor. He is now doing the occasional home inspection and driving a cab.

I worked for Simply Laptops for almost a full year in 2003. I started in the back doing paper work, manning the phones and organization and worked up to customer service at the front counters. At any point in time that Jeff ot Tony were involved in a computer or transaction they were more than honest. I find it to be disgusting that this woman listened to the individual that I think she probably spoke with (who was fired on less than good term for dishonorable conduct). I was also good friends with a few of the techs that worked on the computers and they NEVER would have put bad parts in a customers computer. What slander! **NOTE** Get the facts before you post to a website that promotes consumer honesty. Don't post hearsay. N.C. Phx,AZ

Facts are hard to argue with especially when the accused is willing to defend their position with credible information. But then again, this presumes the accuser is both rational and reasonable. Much of this misinformation is willful and the rest is misinformed. Let's review: 1. With regards to the charge of bad conduct, I suppose the accuser believes the seriousness of the charge alone is sufficient. The fact that it can't be proven because it doesn't occur evidently is not germane, so 'defending' it is silly. I stand by my invitation to both interview my staff personally and check my record with the BBB and the Chamber of Commerce. 2. Lack of experience- Semi-true with regards to computers, but I've owned and managed several businesses so hiring qualified talent is my first skill. The stellar reputation of Simply Laptops has continued for the last 2+ years. Obviously, the charges above, if true, would have placed that at risk long ago. Given the accuser's logic, one should never fly unless the airline owner has been both a pilot and an aircraft mechanic. 3. Turnover- Aside from the fact that the turnover calculations show a lack of business sense, all companies have turnover especially during growth phases. At the time of purchase there was a staff of two. In two years we've grown to six. Middle management comes and goes during such growth. I will not accommodate the accuser's obviously pejorative inference that drives the 'disprove the negative' game. To do so would require an examination of personnel information. The accuser knows this. How convenient. The rest is half-truths and purposive misinformation. Again, when your most ardent competitors recommend you constantly, that says volumes more than the unsubstantiated charges by the author of this complaint. In closing, while the accuser brings into question our business applications of the Judeo-Christian value system, he/she violates the Commandment about bearing false witness'. That's enlightening. I was checking out another business on the badbusinessbureau.com and decided to look at the previous report that was filed on this company. I found it interesting that it took over 8 months for the CEO to respond even though he was made aware of the situation that there was a report on this web site as early as November 2003. I can state that as a former employee of this company the CEO's behavior was just as bad on a daily basis. Several employees were fired because they attempted to provide good customer service. In repairing numerous computers, a tech will sometimes mistakenly fry something. In other stores a good employee will say something to the effect to the customer we found a problem with say their floppy disk drive and we feel it may have been our error. We have replaced it at no charge and fixed your original problem as well for the agreed upon price. The CEO became enraged and screamed at the employee's face something to the effect that if you ever waste money like that and do not bill the customer you will be fired. The tech realized that working under such circumstances would not be possible and within a few weeks sought other employment. This is a constant theme in the business. The CEO had no experience in the industry and the rule of the day is that if you disagree with the CEO you might as well quit before he fires you. I know that now I do not work for him any more my life is nearly stress free. The turn over at this organization is ridiculous. Scottsdale manager quit, Original Tech when the CEO bought the business from the previous owner quit, 3 of 6 techs quit or were fired in the past 8 months. All with a total head count of less than 10. That makes the turnover in excess of 70%. There was even a manager before that who was fired at the end of 2002 but that was before my time. Little known insight about the characters in play with this orgaization. The treasurer is his wife, the secretary is his sister & the vice president is his friend of 20 years who acts just like him. While not on the surface alarming the whole troup acts like kevlar when any disagreements arise and attack the messinger and the idea without caring about merit. As a result, the customers suffer and the employees suffer. The CEO has said on many occasions that he is on a Mission from God. Good if you are a minister. This arrogance and pathological behavior on the part of the CEO makes one wonder about the statement by the CEO that he is a Christian and runs a Christian charity while true statements I only say to fellow Christians. Do you believe this is the behavior of a Christian who has Christ in his heart? You Decide. In the end, would you do business with an organization such as this?

I suspect I know who this "customer" is. I'll get to that in a minute. In response to the core charge at hand, it is, of course, categorically denied. Without knowing the identity of this person, it is not possible to address it directly by pulling the file and reviewing the data at hand. I can only comment on the substance of his/her issue as stated. 1. "Frying" a unit- All shops have situations where damaged units have ancillary damage uncovered during a repair. One client had a ballpoint pen spring arced across the video cable. Its removal uncovered other problems. Often it is only the bad short that has a unit functioning at all. When a board is no longer recoverable after addressing a mechanical short, it doesn't mean the shop fried it. And certainly it is our policy that if any technician accidentally causes damage during a repair, it is promptly corrected at no charge to the customer. 2. The notion that I would actually threaten a disgruntled customer in any way is absurd. I would expect them to go straight to the BBB and the Chamber of Commerce to complain. My clean record speaks for itself. 3. DeVry - Evidently our relationship with them has not been compromised. We've sold several units to students there and staff and students are still recommending our services. 4. Ex Employee Contact - While there has been one termination between the stated service month and the posting date, the ex-employee I spoke with said there was no such conversation. 5. Christian Status - It is true that our business abides by the golden rule as well as the rest of the 10 Commandments. It is in fact the basis of our unblemished customer service record with the BBB and our reputation at the Greater Phoenix Chamber of Commerce. We are owned by PhilcorGroup, an AZ Non-Profit; a Christian Charity. 6. The bully tactic - Whatever...Feel free to stop by either of our stores and ask any of our staff yourself if anything of the sort is even tolerated, much less practiced. As for my idea of the author of this tripe...only one customer has ever either noted knowing anything about PhilcorGroup or named "Maria" in any communication. Maria is a board member of PhilcorGroup and she received a letter of complaint along with every other board member. They collectively supported my position and I informed the customer of that. His response was to threaten exactly this kind of retaliation. Funny he didn't think this issue important enough to either contact the BBB or report the kind of egregious business practices he references to the Attorney General's office. The single BBB filing that is on record there isn't even him and it was resolved amicably to the satisfaction of both the BBB and the customer. FYI - So we don't have to be so-called...I'm Jeffrey Greenmun, CEO of PhilcorGroup, a Christian Charity and its subsidiary, Simply Laptops, a service and repair center recommended by many of its competetiors. I work in the Phoenix store. My number is 602-287-9200. Come visit us and see our store. Interview our staff. Review our BBB file. Call the Greater Phx Chamber of Commerce. Check out my story. I have nothing to hide. And I wouldn't dare insult your intelligence with the anonymity of signing off...
