Well..the good news is that I got a part. I ordered a steering column for an '84 Celebrity but they sent one for an '88 Century...it'll work though, after I remove the mud, grass, and rust (and likely blood and human tissue!)
Bad news...they're liars. As many of us Rip-Off Reporters who complained about S&J Auto Parts /FindPart.com suspected, they're just brokers...they don't have a yard. My part was drop-shipped from CARS R US in Armington, IL. I doubt seriously that S&J's part's yard spans from upstate New York to Illinois.
The incredible news is that they got any shipping company (UPS, FedEx, USPS or in this case DHL Ground) to accept a box packed like this one was! They charged me $43.50 for shipping although UPS Ground REGULAR rate is only $16.66. This photo shows how they packed my badly needed and fragile part.
Thank God that they're not in the glassware business. I wish all of my fellow complainants the best of luck with these criminals!
