To those who are thinking of ordering this product (BE WARNED!!),

I was on the internet reading an article that I received in a e-mail from GNS-LifeScript Partners, Titled: WANTED: Overweight Women For Extreme Body Makeover. Having a weight issue I thought huh this might be a scientific study they are conducting & I wouldn't mind being a Guinea Pig if I was sure the product wouldn't have harmful side effects.

So I clicked on the link that was in the article and it led me to a company called Nutra Lane that was offering a FREE sample of their miraculous weight loss product named Slim Seduction. It was conducted as a FREE trial offer to try their product & see what you think. If it worked then you could go back later & order more. They said the only thing you needed to do was pay for the shipping of $4 & some change.

I thought that sounded far enough so I went through their ordering steps filling out my personal information & then I got to where they wanted my debit/credit card information. Feeling hesitant (why don't we just listen to our intuition in the 1st place?) I reluctantly provided my debit card information for them to bill me the $4 & some change for shipping.

I am a person who checks my bank account on a daily basis & today Monday July 13th 2009 noticed an $82.22 charge from Nutra Lane - Slim Seduction. Feeling extremely irate & confused I immediately called their 800# which is 1-877-242-1376 & talked to a lady named Jessie about the charge. She informed me that I was only on a 21 day FREE trial & that the charge was for the product they already sent me which was suppose to be FREE. She also informed me that I have been set up on a monthly automatic account to where I will be charged & shipped product monthly.

I informed her that I never signed up for this & to cancel all future orders & that I will be shipping back the unopened bottles to receive a full refund of $82.22. So I never got to try the product and I'm not sure if it worked but at this point I don't care. I am also out of $4 & some change plus whatever it costs to ship the product back & trust me I will ship certified mail requesting a signature of arrival.

I am giving Nutra Lane an opportunity to correct their deceiving practice & make sure they refund my $82.22 upon return of their product & I will keep close watch on my account as I always do to make sure there are no more charges. If this is not rendered they way I expect I will be sending Rip Off Report.com another updated report on the situation, I will close my bank account, & I will look at suing Nutra Lane no matter what time & money it costs me.

This is a matter of principle & you cannot put a price on that. I am a fighter I get that from my father who never gives up on justice. This company might have just messed with the wrong person. I also believe that we as consumers can play the victim to fraud or the solution to fraud. The more people who stand up & fight against these scams the less these companies can perform them (yes, no matter what they say in their pathetic defense: They are all scams).

Please do not let yourself get sucked in as I did. Do not feel bad if you did either. I am a very smart & intelligent person & even (as you can see) I fell for their trap. These companies who do this need to be prosecuted for the safety of all of us. Especially in this economy in which we live. A charge like this can really hurt a lot of people out there who are struggling day by day to make ends meet.

As far as I am concerned the Federal Trade Commission needs to put a law against these type of business practices. They are misleading & hurt people who struggling in the pocket book. If there is one way our government can look out for our best interest as a consumer, this is it. I don't care if I have to take it to the supreme court with protesters. I will do just that if need be.
