SMC Specialty Merchandise Corp. ripoff Chatsworth California
I joined for $25.00 only to find out it would cost me a total of $375.00. My membership would be drafted from my savings account on the 15th of every month until paid. The last two drafts cost me a good amount because they were taken out on the 12th and 13th. It left me to pay over draft charges,membership fees plus extra to the bank, when it wasn't my fault. They tried to get money before the agreed date of the 15th.
They never have merchandise, it is always out of stock or discontinued. This causes great stress for me, when my customers order something from their catalog, only to find out it's not available. Then when they do have it you have to reorder it again and pay their high shipping charges all over again.
They also promise you that orders will be shipped in 24 to 48 hours! Lies!! Drop shipped to customers door. Some of my customers have called me irate because when they did get their order, the merchandise was broken into pieces or not of good quality. When I called the company and finally reached someone on the phone, the person was rude and disrespectful.
I've decided to cancel my membership with this company. I refuse to pay a high membership fee when I can't receive good service and is constantly lied too over and over. I received a letter stating that I breached the contract and still owe them money, well too bad because they lied and the service is not up to par.
