THIS RESCUE IS NOT a (501c3) NON PROFIT. I JUST spoke to Kent County Animal Control. You may call them and find out for yourself. They were called to the rescue at 110 Dickinson SE Grand Rapids, Michigan 49507 more then once to take animals. They have turned over CATS and 2 dogs one being a MALE HUSKY. These females are NOT in this for the animals. They are in it for the MONEY. The SAME week they adopt out 5+ animals they go out and buy BRAND NEW FURNITURE. After AMY SMITH posted on her personal Facebook how incredibly broke her and Melissa were. AMY posted on her facebook Thursday May 2nd that MELISSA had PHYSICALLY abused her then "Dumped" the rescue animals on her. She also said that she would take them to ANIMAL CONTROL. Well some did go. VERY SAD. I included a photo of the brand new furiture your donations and adoption fees went to. PLEASE DO NOT TAKE YOUR PETS TO MELISSA WEST OR AMY SMITH OF SOMEWHERE OVER THE RAINBOW!!!! THEY ARE ANIMAL FLIPPERS!!!! heres the "rescues" info so when they post under a different name you know who they are. It is not slander if it is true. I took it upon myself to contact Kent County Animal Control, and this is all true. I don't know about the furniture, but I did learn this "rescue" is NOT 501c3. Always a shame when people who claim to be helping animals have pulled the wool over the public's eyes and are really harming them. I urge EVERYONE when dealing with a rescue organization to do their homework.

This report is slander. Charges are pending against the person who posted this. Somewhere Over the Rainbow is a ligitamite animal rescue in the Grand Rapids area. If you have any questions or concerns about this rescue, please contact the rescue directly. Do not believe all the FALSE information being posted online.
