I pre-paid for laser hair removal in Summer 2006- I received 3 of 5 treatments and was scheduled for #4 when I phoned to find the clinic had closed. I was not notifed in any way. I feel certain that there was some indication that there was trouble as initially I was told that the treatments would be 4 months apart (which doesn't make sense, no reason for them to be any further apart then 8 wks) but then after treatment #3 , I was pushed out to 5 months without an explaination. If I had continued on a 4 month schedule, I would have gotten treatment #4- I think they were pushing the appointments out to delay providing services.
I e-mailed the corporate office in TN and was given the name of the Duck Hill Bankruptcy Council as Walter or Candy Dahl at 916-446-8800. Duck Hill Corporation is the franchising owner. The phone number above prompts you to leave a name, address and phone number but indicates that there will NOT be a return call.
I checked with Bankrupcy Court in Sacto (916-930-4400) on Mon Dec 3 but there was no filling for the above named Corporation. I understand that they have to file in order for you (me) to file as a client.
I also checked the Small Claims website and decided that since someone has to be "served" the papers for the claim, that I could not go foward with that as I don't know who to serve, or how.
