As far as I'm concerned, due to the nature of what happened, anything from BMG is FREE. My data was public domain and extensively music related. The rootkit was on a John Mayer Heavier Things CD which someone else played on the PC and it installed AOL and phoned home and deleted data. The fine print said many times that the CD was made by SPECIFIC HARM MUSIC, INC!!! (and SONY BMG)

Due to the nature of the lost data I asked SONY to send either a new PC OR replace the data. They were aware of what kind of data it was when they erased it since they were actually remotely typing over my own typing regarding it. It is not necessary for them to replace the data, but only the PC.

Their response due to the nature of the data was that if I actually had such data then I could copy all their stuff without copyright infringement, which is in fact true. While I don't want any of their stuff, I therefore give their permission to the public domain as exchanged, since by not replacing the PC they have blessed ALL sequences of data that can fit in a computer's memory and agreed that it is redundant and uncopyrightable.

The method is simply described thusly, that there is nothing SONY has ever produced that can not be found in numbers like 0.123456789101112131415161718192021...

especially the binary equivalent, and nearly infinite redundancy. Simple arithmetic can find any past or future data in that number.

Conclusion. Sony can't sell me anything I don't already have, and the use of that number is public domained, therefore I give you all SONY's data as public domain with their blessing, or apparent disbelief that all their "digital" work is a natural subset of this. I not only boycott Sony but agree with them that ANYTHING THAT I LOST when they remotely wrecked my hard drive is easily recovered using such math which they do not believe exists. WHY BOTHER BUYING ANYTHING FROM SONY WHEN IT'S FREE AND THEY WILL GO OUT OF BUSINESS AND THEY ARE EVIL?

Well they didn't replace my PC so I have an incentive to use math to freely synthesize THEIR DATA which might be just a little bit more interesting than the data THEY STOLE by ACTUALLY SPECIFICALLY HARMFULLY DESTROYING IT .

IF IT SAYS "SONY BMG" IT MEANS IT'S FREE!

IF YOU CAN'T DO THE MATH, JUST COPY THE DARN NOISY CRAP THEY ARE SELLING! Buy NONE!

BTW remember, their data is FINITE and REDUNDANT. There are no more than 8 billion bits on a DVD, and no more than 2 to the power of that possible DVDs!

2^8,000,000,000

See? THE NUMBER IS FREE!

And SONY's ROOTKIT was one of the most dangerous viruses ever released... on CD's you paid for, and by buying them, y'all nearly crashed the internet!

SONY DIED (AND NO ONE CRIED).

BTW did I mention their address is

666 5th Avenue? To hell with 'em!

They owe me a PC. NY class action settlement says they only owe me replacement music without rootkits. Well I don't own any music. Wait, that's not exactly true. As I said above, SONY agrees I own ALL THEIR MUSIC. OK, so do you too, for free! I just bought that CD with the virus on it from my friend who played it on my PC, and why would I give that back to BMG??? It's the evidence. IF it wasn't so they would have replaced my PC.

SONY BMG SELLS MU-SICK VIRUSES!

DON'T BE A SUCKER

FYI search for "Sony Rootkit"

It's also the whole RIAA

search for "RIAA wants to hack your PC"

DON'T INSTALL ANY MUSIC PLAYER SOFTWARE ON PCS.

"EULA" BE SORRY!

"If this software breaks your somputer you will hold us irresponsible and smile". AGREE OR DISAGREE? duh.

Have you ever seen one of those big old SONY radios with built in tape recorders? They were nice. And LOUD too. And there was a red button to push if you liked the song and wanted to "download" it. And nobody ever bothered you unless you turned the volume up to 10.
