I received this letter with a Cashier's Check of $3,860.00, a week ago from Andrea Rose of South River Management and Payment Inc.

" Subject Funds Enclosed:

Following the second and final notice that was sent to you, we have secured for you through one of our financial sponsors, the required amount you need to pay for all service charges, involving your recent winning notification, saving you the trouble of trying to raise the necessary amount required.

In reference to the above numbers, the total payout to you is 120,000.00 of 3,000,000 divided between twenty-five winners, less all-deductible fees involved. This amount of 120,000 will be remitted to you by a bank draft, to you as soon as soon as the chargeable fees and process are completed. A one-time Bank Draft Payment or remittance will be made to you or your account within 72 hours, the official time line legally required for settlements.

We have enclosed a Cashier's Check for the amount of $3,860.00 as arranged with our client care representative, which is a percentage surcharge required to be paid for the processing and surcharges associated with the disbursement of your funds to you. Pleas give your account manager a call as soon as you receive this letter and, he or she will be able to assist you in finalizing the payment and claim process.

Note:Should this process not be completed on or before January 16, 2006, we shall assume this fund as unclaimed and shall automatically null and void all process and claims.

Yours Sincerely

Andrea Rose

Client Care Manager "

This letter had all the red flags you could possibly see, the minute I read it.

1.) If I won any money from your lottery, why don't you just take out the fees fom my winnings?

2.) What lottery? What's the name of the game I played.

3.) The number given (902) 412-0526 Ext.2, sounds like some cheap VM service, that fowards your calls to a cell phone.

4.) The verification number almost sounds real, but the real Randolph Savings Bank does not recognize the number (800) 963-9161. They even tried to start off with the same prefix as the real Randolph Savings Bank in MA.

5.) I had someone check out this fraudulant Cashier's Check, and I was right, it was a fraud. Imagine if I wasn't as cautious as I am?

So all of you that have received one of these "to good to be true" letters, it probably is. Watch out, these jokers have no mercy. They prey on people want a good life for themselves, and loved ones.
