Springhill Collection Agency dishonest phone calls Springhill Louisiana
I deal with this company both personally and professionally. They are a collection agency for the local hospital.
I had a very old bill from the hospital that they had bought. They called my house 5-6 times a day but they called from 8am-5pm and no one was there. They finally caught my husband at home and told him that they were from the department of health and that they needed to speak with me urgently. He gave them my work number. When they called me at work, they told me that they were from the hospital with some important lab results. After talking for a few minutes, he told me who he really was and what he wanted. I made arrangements to pay the bill and followed the arrangements. He still calls 2-3 times weekly to remind me of our arrangement.
They are dishonest when they deal with other businesses, too. They had bought a note for one of our employees. The owner of the business (I can't remember his name right now) came to talk to my boss because they wanted to garnish the guy's wages. They offered to sell the note to us at a slight discount and my boss said that he would buy it but he was only going to charge the guy what we paid for it. As soon as he said that, the offer was rescinded and he was no longer welcome to buy the note. We had been garnishing the guy's check and mailing the payment when they called and said that we needed to drop it off at their office.
Now they are calling me 2-3 times a week about both notes that are being paid as agreed.

I have recieved more calls from the owner. He is giving me information about some employees that I don't think that he can legally give. He has called to verify employment for two employees. When he called, he gave me the names of the employees, the amounts that they owed, and what they owed for. I could be wrong, but I don't think that he can legally give me all of that information.
