I have a 1992 Jeep Wrangler that is way out of warranty but i recently checked online and my Vin. number qualified for a recall. Made an appointment and took my car in. Before making the appointment I asked the Service Writer how long the process will take so I can schedule my day around that, she said I'm not sure let me transfer you to Service Dept. A man picked up i asked the same question and he said oh shouldn't take no more then 2 Hrs max 2.5 Hrs. 2.5 Hrs doesn't seem long i can just go to couple stores on foot to kill time.

Long story short, It passed over 2.5 hrs and i still have not gotten a call back from them. So i went to the Service Center and asked what the update on the car is and they reported that it will take more then quoted. At this point i was already getting mad. I asked if i can see what condition the car was. The man took me back and showed the car, the part that needed replacing was not even hooked up and the Tech who was working on the car was on lunch. (GRRR). Then i noticed that the Hood was opened I asked the person how they opened the hood without the correct Key and they said we put a PHILIPS screwdriver, and opened it that got me even more MAD.

I said what idiot was working on the car, as soon as i said that the tech shows up, and i confront him on what is this that I'm holding in my Hand. He proceeds on saying a key, I said that is correct a key to the lock you broke on my hood. Same time my eye caught a water leak and noticed that my Water reservoir for the Windshield wipers was out and i looked at it and they broke that too. At this point i was late for the meeting i had to go to it was already 3pm i had been there since 11am.

I am writing to let you know next time you take your car in for a problem make sure you insist that a Kid right out of High School Does not work on your car.

He had no one helping him, no mentor all alone working on a modified off road vehicle, with no knowledge of how to open a hood the correct way.

Thank you for reading my Rant.

(the person that worked on mine happen to be one).
